Jody Rosenthal
Jody Anschutz (born October 18, 1962) is an American professional golfer. She competed as Jody Rosenthal prior to marrying Fred Anschutz on October 14, 1989. Career Rosenthal was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She attended the University of Tulsa. As an amateur she won the 1984 British Ladies Amateur and played for the United States in the 1984 Curtis Cup. Her debut season on the LPGA Tour was 1986 and she won Rookie of the Year honors. In her second season she won two tournaments including the du Maurier Classic, which was then one of the LPGA's major championships, and finished in the top ten in the other three majors on her way to fifth in the money list. From that time on however her career followed a downwards trajectory. She did not win again and did not make the top one hundred on the money list after 1992. Cynthia "Cindy" Hill (born February 12, 1948) is an American professional golfer who played on the LPGA Tour. Hill won the U.S. Women's Amateur in 1974 after having lost the final twice before (1970 and 1972). She won the 1975 North and South Women's Amateur. She represented the U.S. in the Curtis Cup four times (1970, 1974, 1976, 1978) and the Espirito Santo Trophy three times (1970, 1974, 1978). She played college golf at the University of Miami and was an All-American in 1969 and 1970. Her team won the AIAW Championship in 1970. She turned pro at age 31. 1984 Espirito Santo Trophy
The 1984 Espirito Santo Trophy took place 30 October – 2 November at Hong Kong Golf Club in Fonling, Hong Kong. It was the 11th women's golf World Amateur Team Championship for the Espirito Santo Trophy. The tournament was a 72-hole stroke play team event with 22 teams, each with three players. The best two scores for each round counted towards the team total. The United States team won the Trophy, defending the title from two years ago and winning their ninth title, beating team France by two strokes. France earned the silver medal while the combined team of Great Britain and Ireland took the bronze on third place another three strokes behind. Teams 22 teams contested the event. Espirito Santo Trophy
The Espirito Santo Trophy (World Women's Amateur Team Championships) is a biennial world amateur team golf championship for women organised by the International Golf Federation. The inaugural event was held in 1964. It was instituted by the French Golf Federation in an agreement with the United States Golf Association. It was planned by Lally Segard, at the time known as Vicomtesse de Saint Sauveur, from France and Mrs. Henri Prunaret from America. Segard also asked her friends Ricardo and Silvia Espirito Santo, from Portugal, to donate a trophy for the event, which they did. They had originally bought the golden cup, which had belonged to Tsar Nicholas II of Russia, for an international Portuguese event that was not played anymore. Cindy Rarick (born September 12, 1959) is an American professional golfer. She competed as Cindy Flom in 1985 and from 1999 to 2001. Amateur career Rarick was born in Glenwood, Minnesota. In 1994, she was inducted into the Sahuaro High School Alumni (Cougar Foundation) Hall of Fame. Rarick was the 1977 Arizona State Junior champion. In 1978, she won the Hawaii Women's Match Play Championship, and a year later she captured the Hawaii Stroke Play Championship title. She attended the University of Hawaii. Professional career Rarick joined the LPGA Tour in 1985. She won five tournaments on the Tour, her first in 1987. She also won the Gatorade Most Improved Player Award that year. Beth Daniel (born October 14, 1956) is an American professional golfer. She became a member of the LPGA Tour in 1979 and won 33 LPGA Tour events, including one major championship, during her career. She is a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame. Early life and amateur career Daniel was born on October 14, 1956 in Charleston, South Carolina. She played her collegiate golf at Furman University, and was on the 1976 national championship team that included future LPGA players Betsy King, Sherri Turner and Cindy Ferro. In 1977, she won the Broderick Award (now the Honda Sports Award) as the nation's best female collegiate golfer. Daniel won the U.S. Women's Amateur in 1975 and 1977, the Women's Western Amateur in 1978, and was on the U.S. Curtis Cup teams in 1976 and 1978 (going 4-0 in 1976).
