Jock McEwan
John McEwan (16 September 1903 – 10 October 1957) was a Scottish footballer who played as a left half. His only club at the professional level was Kilmarnock, where he spent twelve seasons. He began his career with local junior teams Darvel and Irvine Meadow before joining Kilmarnock in 1923. Midfielder
A midfielder is an outfield position in association football. Midfielders may play an exclusively defensive role, breaking up attacks, and are in that case known as defensive midfielders. As central midfielders often go across boundaries, with mobility and passing ability, they are often referred to as deep-lying midfielders, play-makers, box-to-box midfielders, or holding midfielders. Hurlford
Hurlford (Scottish Gaelic: ''Baile Àtha Cliath'') is a village in East Ayrshire, Scotland. It has a population of 4,968. Hurlford's former names include Whirlford and Hurdleford. The village was named Whirlford as a result of a ford crossing the River Irvine east of Hurlford Cross, near Shawhill.
