Joar Hoff
Joar Hoff (10 April 1939 – 22 May 2019) was a Norwegian association football, football player and coach. A midfielder, Hoff played for FK Bodø/Glimt, Bodø/Glimt in 1959, Lillestrøm SK, Lillestrøm and Strømmen IF, Strømmen in 1961, and Vålerenga Fotball, Vålerenga in 1965. Hoff coached Lillestrøm in their first two season in the Tippeligaen, Norwegian First Division, and led the team to victory in the 1976 Norwegian First Division. He also coached Lillestrøm in 1982 Norwegian First Division, 1982, when the team finished third in the First Division. Hoff also coached Vålerenga in 1978. He was the brother of Ivar Hoff. Midfielder
A midfielder is an outfield position in association football. Midfielders may play an exclusively defensive role, breaking up attacks, and are in that case known as defensive midfielders. As central midfielders often go across boundaries, with mobility and passing ability, they are often referred to as deep-lying midfielders, play-makers, box-to-box midfielders, or holding midfielders. There are also attacking midfielders with limited defensive assignments.
