Jo Cook (born 22 March 1984) is a former British rower. Rowing career Cook began rowing in 1996 at Lady Eleanor Holles School. In 2000, she competed at the 20024 and 2005 World Rowing U23 Championships. She made her senior debut in 2009. She was part of the British squad that topped the medal table at the 2011 World Rowing Championships in Bled, where she won a bronze medal as part of the eight with Alison Knowles, Jessica Eddie, Louisa Reeve, Natasha Page, Lindsey Maguire, Katie Greves, Victoria Thornley Victoria Thornley (born 30 November 1987) is a Welsh rower. Leander Club
Leander Club, founded in 1818, is one of the oldest rowing clubs in the world, and the oldest non-academic club. It is based in Remenham in Berkshire, England and adjoins Henley-on-Thames. Only three other surviving clubs were founded prior to Leander: Brasenose College Boat Club and Jesus College Boat Club (the two competing in a Head race in 1815) and Westminster School Boat Club, founded in 1813. History Leander was founded on the Tideway in 1818 or 1819 by members of the old "Star" and "Arrow" Clubs and membership was at first limited to sixteen. "The Star" and "the Arrow" clubs died out sometime in the 1820s and Leander itself was in full swing by 1825. By 1830 it was looked upon as a well-known and long-established boat club. Victoria Thornley (born 30 November 1987) is a Welsh rower. She won a silver medal for Great Britain with Katherine Grainger in the women's double sculls at the 2016 Summer Olympics. She was also a member of the Great Britain team that finished fifth in the women's eight at the 2012 Summer Olympics, and finished fourth in the single sculls at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Catherine Rose Greves, also known as Katie Greves (born 2 September 1982, London), is an Olympic Games silver medallist British rower, triple Olympian and former European Champion. Rowing career Smaller than many of her competitors, Greves was known amongst peers for her outstanding technical proficiency and race-craft. Lindsey Maguire (born 15 January 1982) is a British rower who competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Personal life Maguire was born in Edinburgh, Scotland. Her mother is former long jumper, Moira Walls. Maguire studied maths and psychology at the University of Birmingham. She then completed a Masters in Developmental Psychopathology at Durham University (Ustinov College) in 2004.
