Jiří Prskavec (canoeist, Born 1993)
Jiří Prskavec (; born 18 May 1993) is a Czech slalom canoeist who has competed at the international level since 2008. Career Prskavec won a bronze medal in the K1 event at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro and gold in the K1 event at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. He won nine medals at the ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships with four golds (K1: 2015, 2019; K1 team: 2015, 2017), four silvers (K1: 2013, 2018; K1 team: 2014, 2019) and a bronze (K1 team: 2018). He also won 12 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze medals at the European Championships. Prskavec won the overall World Cup title in the K1 class in 2018, 2019 and 2022. He finished the 2016, 2019 and 2020 seasons as the World No. 1. 2016 European Canoe Slalom Championships
The 2016 European Canoe Slalom Championships took place in Liptovský Mikuláš, Slovakia under the auspices of the European Canoe Association (ECA). It was the 17th edition of the competition and Liptovský Mikuláš hosted the event for the second time after previously hosting it in 2007. The events took place at the Ondrej Cibak Whitewater Slalom Course from 12 to 15 May 2016. This event also served as the European qualification for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. ICF World Junior And U23 Canoe Slalom Championships
The ICF World Junior and U23 Canoe Slalom Championships are an annual international canoeing and kayaking event organized by the International Canoe Federation (ICF). The Junior World Championships were first held in 1986 and then every two years until 2012. The Under-23 category has been added to the program in 2012. The Youth Olympic Games (YOG) is an international multi-sport event for athletes between 15 and 18 years old, organized by the International Olympic Committee. The games are held every four years in staggered summer and winter events consistent with the current Olympic Games format, though in reverse order with Olympic Winter Games held in leap years instead of Summer Olympic Games. The first summer version was held in Singapore from 14 to 26 August 2010 while the first winter version was held in Innsbruck, Austria from 13 to 22 January 2012. The 2022 European Canoe Slalom Championships took place from 26 to 29 May in Liptovský Mikuláš, Slovakia under the auspices of the European Canoe Association (ECA). It was the 23rd edition of the competition. Liptovský Mikuláš hosted the event for the third time after 2007 and 2016. A total of 10 medal events took place, 6 individual and 4 team events. The women's K1 event had two gold medalists after Eliška Mintálová and Stefanie Horn achieved the same time in the final run. The 2021 European Canoe Slalom Championships took place from 6 to 9 May 2021 in Ivrea, Italy under the auspices of the European Canoe Association (ECA). It was the 22nd edition of the competition. The 2020 European Canoe Slalom Championships took place in Prague, Czech Republic from 18 to 20 September 2020. Originally they were scheduled to take place in London, England, from 15 to 17 May 2020.
