Jincheon National Training Center
Jincheon National Training Center is a sports village under the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee. It was built due to the lack of space at the Korea National Training Center. The Korean Sport & Olympic Committee (, Abbr.: KOC) is the National Olympic Committee of Republic of Korea (competing as Korea) for the Olympic Games movement and inbound sports issue. Korea National Training Center, also known as the Taereung Training Center, located in Gongneung-dong, Nowon-gu, in the northeast part of Seoul, is the first national athletic training center established in South Korea. Since its establishment on 30 June 1966 by the Korea Sports Council (대한체육회 大韓體育會), Taereung Training Center has been the home of elite Korean sports activities. Jincheon-gun
Jincheon County (''Jincheon-gun'') is a county in Chungcheongbuk-do (North Chungcheong) Province, South Korea. Location Jincheon belongs to the middle of Chungcheongbuk-do. It borders several cities of its province but also meets Gyeonggi-do. The southwestern part of this area is mountainous. Korea has traditional sports of its own, as well as sports from different cultures and countries. Traditional sport There are various forms of folk dancing still practiced in Korea. Although not commonly considered a sport, traditional mask dance drama is physically demanding. Kite flying (Yeon Nalligi) is considered a sport in East Asia. Kites are flown during the first few days of the Lunar New Year and Chuseok. It is not, however, a major league sport as it is in Thailand.
