Jin Cheng
Jin Cheng (, (born 6 March 1998) is a Chinese amateur golfer. In September 2014, Jin became the first amateur to lead a PGA Tour China event. In November 2014, he won the Nine Dragons Open on PGA Tour China, becoming the first amateur to win on that tour. He birdied the 17th hole Sunday at Nine Dragons Golf Club while leader, Brazil's Lucas Lee (golfer), Lucas Lee, made three bogeys over his final three holes. Jin's victory in the 2014 Volvo China Junior Match Play Championship earned him entry into the Volvo China Open, a European Tour event. Jin has also played, and made cuts on, the OneAsia Tour and the Asian Tour. In December 2015, Jin tied for 11th at the Asian Tour's Thailand Golf Championship for his best career finish outside of China. In his PGA Tour China career, through the 2015 season, Jin has played 18 events, making the cut 13 times and recording six top-10s, including the victory. The Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club () is a privately owned and run, members-only country club, located on the Clear Water Bay Peninsula in Sai Kung, New Territories, Hong Kong. The club hosts the PGA Tour China Clearwater Bay Open yearly. History The Clearwater Bay Golf and Country Club was built at a cost of about HK$250 million by a number of wealthy people including Kenneth Fung, Run Run Shaw, and Yue-Kong Pao. Bonallack Trophy
The Bonallack Trophy is an amateur golf competition on the model of the Ryder Cup which opposes every two years a European team and a team representing Asia/Pacific. The venue alternates between courses in Europe and Asia/Pacific. The first competition took place in 1998 in Perth, Australia. Since 2016 it has been held concurrently with the women's Patsy Hankins Trophy. Europe leads the series 7 wins to 3. Format The Bonallack Trophy involves various match play competitions between players selected from two teams of twelve representing Europe and Asia/Pacific. 2014 PGA Tour China
PGA Tour China is a China-based men's professional golf tour as part of the PGA Tour's global expansion. The tour started in 2014. After a hiatus in 2017, the tour resumed in 2018. It is known as PGA Tour Series China. An earlier tour, the Omega China Tour, ran from 2004 to 2009. The United States-based PGA Tour started PGA Tour China in 2014, joining PGA Tour Canada and PGA Tour Latinoamérica as international developmental tours. Similar to the Canadian and Latinoamerica tours, PGA Tour China offers a path to the Korn Ferry Tour for top finishers.
