Chen Jin (Viceroy Of Liangguang)
Chen Jin (, 1446 - 1528), courtesy name ''Ruli'' () was a politician of the Ming dynasty. Life Chen Jin was born in 1446 in Wuchang (modern day Wuhan, Hubei) to a family of officials; his grandfather was Prefect of Kuizhou (in modern day Chongqing), while his father Chen Lin served as Deputy Commissioner of Guangxi. He entered official service through the imperial examinations in 1472. In 1507, he was appointed to his first term as Viceroy of Liangguang, where he managed to suppress a local Zhuang rebellion. He then attempted to open trade with the Zhuang as a means of controlling them, but the rebels continued to raid and kill. In 1508, he was promoted to Minister of Revenue in Nanjing, and in 1511 he was appointed to northern Jiangxi Jiangxi (; ; formerly romanized as Kiangsi or Chianghsi) is a landlocked province in the east of the People's Republic of China. Chen Jin (Viceroy Of Fujian)
Chen Jin (; d. 1652) was a military commander and official of the late Ming dynasty and early Qing dynasty period. He served as Viceroy of Min-Zhe between 1647 and 1652. During the Ming dynasty, Chen Jin was stationed along the Liaodong frontier, and in 1633 he defected to the Qing forces and was recommended to Huang Taiji. After the Ming-Qing transition, he was appointed commander of Suzhou, where he captured Chen Zilong. He was then appointed as Viceroy of Min-Zhe as a reward. In 1651, he led forces to attack the Zhoushan islands, successfully capturing them. Chen Chin (; November 2, 1907 March 27, 1998), also written as Ch'en Chin, was a Taiwanese painter, known for her paintings of women (''bijin''). She is said to be the first Taiwanese woman painter to earn national recognition. Life and career Chen was born into an affluent family in Kōzan, Shinchiku, during Japanese rule of Taiwan. Her father was an official in the Japanese colonial government. A patron of the arts, he supported his daughter's pursuit of an artistic education, an unconventional path for women at the time. Chen Jin (; born in 1968) is a Chinese computer scientist. Chen was born in Putian, Fujian, in 1968, along with a twin brother. He earned a bachelor's degree from Tongji University in Shanghai and in 1991, moved to the United States to study computer engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. In 1998, he earned a Ph.D. there while working at Motorola's Austin research center. Chen moved back to China in 2000 and worked at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Chen Jin (born 10 January 1986) is a retired badminton player from China. He is a former world men's singles champion and an Olympic bronze medalist. He also served as women's singles coach of the China national badminton team. Career 2004–2008 Since winning the Asian Junior Championships in 2004, Chen developed into one of the world's elite men's singles players. His titles include the 2004 Polish International, 2004 French International, 2006 German Open, 2007 Swiss Open, and 2007 Macau Open.
