Jimtown, Oregon
Jimtown is an unincorporated community in Baker County, Oregon, United States. It is about two miles northwest of Halfway, on Oregon Route 413. Oregon Route 413
Oregon Route 413 (OR 413) is an Oregon state highway running from Cornucopia to Halfway. OR 413 is known as the Halfway-Cornucopia Highway No. 413 (see Oregon highways and routes). It is long and runs northwest to southeast, entirely within Baker County. OR 413 was established in 2003 as part of Oregon's project to assign route numbers to highways that previously were not assigned, and, as of July 2017, was unsigned. Route description OR 413 begins at Elk Creek in Cornucopia and heads southeast through Carson and Jimtown to Halfway, where it ends at an intersection with OR 414 and OR 86 Spur. Its northernmost are unpaved and narrow, and is closed by snow in the winter. A sawmill (saw mill, saw-mill) or lumber mill is a facility where logs are cut into lumber. Yarmouth is a town in Cumberland County, Maine, United States, twelve miles north of the state's largest city, Portland. Halfway, Oregon
Halfway is a city in Baker County, Oregon, United States. The city took its name from the location of its post office, on the Alexander Stalker ranch, halfway between Pine and Jim Town. The population was 288 at the 2010 census. During the dot-com bubble, Halfway agreed to rename itself Half.com for a year as a publicity stunt for the e-commerce company of the same name. History The community was named for the fact it is roughly halfway between Pine and Cornucopia.
