Jimmy McDonough
Jimmy McDonough is a biographer and journalist. He is best known for his biographies of Russ Meyer, Andy Milligan, Tammy Wynette, Al Green, and Neil Young. He is noted by critics for his remarkably exhaustive accounts and for his tendency to avoid romanticizing his subjects' lives. For this reason, he was described by ''The Times'' as "a literary Terminator". ''Time''s Richard Corliss declared his first published work ''The Ghastly One'' "a masterpiece" and John Waters has repeatedly named it one of his favorite books (this was actually McDonough's second effort; the first, ''Shakey: The Biography of Neil Young,'' had been held up by a lawsuit over the claim that Young had tried to prevent publication). Gary Stewart (singer)
Gary Ronnie Stewart (May 28, 1944 – December 16, 2003) was an American musician and songwriter, known for his distinctive vibrato voice and his outlaw country sound influenced by southern rock. At the height of his popularity in the mid-1970s, ''Time'' magazine described him as the "king of honkytonk." He had a series of country chart hits from the mid- to late 1970s, the biggest of which was "She's Actin' Single (I'm Drinkin' Doubles)", which topped the U.S. country singles chart in 1975. On December 16, 2003, Stewart died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, one month after the death of his wife. Frankie Miller (born December 17, 1931, Victoria, Texas) is an American country musician. Biography Miller landed time singing on local station KNAL and recorded for 4 Star Records at the beginning of the 1950s, but served from 1951-53 in the United States Military during the Korean War. In 1954 he signed with Columbia Records, releasing several singles, none of which sold well. Through the latter portion of the decade, Miller performed and recorded locally, sporadically releasing singles. In 1959 he signed with Starday Records and released several singles which became hits on the country charts, including "Blackland Farmer", "Family Man", "Baby Rocked Her Dolly", and "A Little South of Memphis". He performed on the ''Louisiana Hayride'' and the ''Grand Ole Opry'', and was featured in '' Cashbox'' magazine. ''Too Old to Die Young'' is an American crime drama streaming miniseries directed by Nicolas Winding Refn, written by Refn and Ed Brubaker, and starring Miles Teller and Augusto Aguilera.
