Jimmy Mann (darts Player)
Jimmy Mann (born 19 July 1978, in Carshalton) is a retired England, English professional darts player who played in the Professional Darts Corporation events. He was not a full-time professional and makes his living as a greenkeeper. Career Mann made a good showing in the 2005 UK Open Regionals, reaching the semi-finals of the North West Regional and winning the Midlands Regional. He entered the 2005 UK Open (darts), UK Open as the number 4 seed as a result of his Midlands win, meaning he started his campaign at the Last 64 stage. However, he lost his first match to Mark Landers (darts player), Mark Landers. He qualified for the 2006 PDC World Darts Championship but lost in the first round to Terry Jenkins. It remains his only appearance in the televised stages of the competition having missed out in the qualifying rounds in 2007 and 2008. Carshalton
Carshalton () is a town, with a historic village centre, in south London, England, within the London Borough of Sutton. It is situated south-southwest of Charing Cross, in the valley of the River Wandle, one of the sources of which is Carshalton Ponds in the middle of the village. Prior to the creation of Greater London in 1965, Carshalton was in the administrative county of Surrey. Carshalton consists of a number of neighbourhoods. Terry Jenkins (born 26 September 1963) is an English former professional darts player who was nicknamed The Bull, having previously used the name "Tucker" for his matches. He reached number three in the world rankings and was a runner-up in nine major PDC televised finals, those being the 2006 and 2007 World Grand Prix, 2007 Premier League, 2007 Las Vegas Desert Classic, 2007 and 2009 World Matchplay, 2008 Grand Slam of Darts, 2014 UK Open and 2014 European Championship. Darts World Rankings is a system designed to determine a list of the best darts players in the world based on their performances in tournaments. However, in 1993, a group of former world champions and other high-profile players separated from the British Darts Organisation, meaning there are now two major governing bodies. Each organization has its own players, and each has its own ranking system. Raymond van Barneveld (born 20 April 1967) is a Dutch professional darts player. Nicknamed Barney, although originally known as The Man, he is one of the most successful darts players in history. Van Barneveld is a five-time World Darts Champion (four-time BDO and one-time PDC), a two-time UK Open Champion and a former winner of the Las Vegas Desert Classic, the Grand Slam of Darts and the Premier League. Colin Monk
Colin Monk (born 29 September 1967) is an English former professional darts player who played in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) and British Darts Organisation (BDO) events. Career Monk won the Winmau World Masters in 1996, where he beat Richie Burnett 3–2 in the final. Monk's best run in the BDO World Darts Championship came in 1998 and 2002 when he reached the semi-finals, losing to Raymond van Barneveld and Mervyn King respectively. Monk was also part of what is often cited as one of the all-time great matches at Lakeside in 2003 when he defeated Tony O'Shea 3–2 in the Last 16 in a sudden death leg, with Monk's end average being 97.08 to O'Shea's 94.05. The 2006 Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship was the 13th World Championship organised by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) since it separated from the British Darts Organisation (BDO). It was held from 19 December 2005 to 2 January 2006 at the Circus Tavern, Purfleet, Essex. Format and qualifiers A record field of 64 finalists assembled to battle for Phil Taylor's world crown. Career Landers played in the 2005 PDC World Darts Championship, defeating Alan Reynolds of Wales in Last 48 and but who lost in the last 40 to Peter Evison of England.
