Jimmy Lewis (cricketer)
James Christopher Mansel Lewis (born 3 October 1967) is a former English cricketer. Lewis was a left-handed batsman who bowled right-arm fast-medium. He was born in Ditchingham, Norfolk. Lewis made his debut for Norfolk in the 1987 Minor Counties Championship against Cambridgeshire. Lewis played Minor counties cricket for Norfolk from 1987 to 1994, which included 35 Minor Counties Championship matches and 9 MCCA Knockout Trophy matches. He made his List A debut against Yorkshire in the 1990 NatWest Trophy. In this match, was dismissed for 9 runs by Phil Carrick, while with the ball he bowled 8 wicket-less overs. He made a further List A appearance against Leicestershire in the 1992 NatWest Trophy. In this match, he was dismissed for a single run by Alan Mullally. With the ball, he took the wickets of Laurie Potter and Winston Benjamin for the cost of 66 runs from 12 overs. Ditchingham
Ditchingham is a village and civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. It is located across the River Waveney from Bungay, Suffolk.Ordnance Survey (2005). Phil Carrick
Phillip Carrick (16 July 1952 – 11 January 2000) was an English first-class cricketer, who played for Yorkshire County Cricket Club between 1970 and 1993. Carrick was born in Armley, Leeds, Yorkshire, England, educated at Park Lane College of Further Education, and began his first-class career in 1970. The left-arm spinner, nicknamed "Fergie", took more than 1,000 wickets over his twenty three-year career, and fell just six runs short of hitting 10,000 first-class runs for Yorkshire. His bowling partnership with Geoff Cope was a successful one for the county. He captained Yorkshire to victory over Northamptonshire in the 1987 Benson & Hedges Cup, having had his benefit season in 1985. Winston Keithroy Matthew Benjamin (born 31 December 1964) is a former Antiguan cricketer who played 21 Tests and 85 One Day Internationals for the West Indies. He is also the father of world champion athlete Rai Benjamin. Domestic career Benjamin originally burst on the scene in 1985 when he was given a Viv Richards scholarship to England in 1985. He played at Chester Boughton Hall Cricket Club in the highly rated Liverpool Competition and finished the season with 106 wickets at an average of 7.57, a best of 8-20 and five or more wickets on eleven occasions. Laurie Potter
Laurie Potter (born 7 November 1962) is an English former cricketer. He captained England and Australia at under-19 level. He played first-class cricket in England and South Africa for Kent, Griqualand West, Leicestershire and Orange Free State. Early life Potter was born in England but brought up in Australia. He played for West Perth (now known as Willetton), Willetton, Western Australia, in Western Australian grade cricket where he holds a club record for the largest second wicket partnership. Under-19 international He is the only person to captain both the Australian and English cricket teams, these being at under 19 level. Alan Mullally (born 12 July 1969) is an English former first-class cricketer, who played Tests and ODIs. Mullally grew up in Western Australia, and played for the Australian Under-19 side against their West Indian counterparts in 1987/88. Domestic career That same season he made his first-class debut for Western Australia in their Sheffield Shield final victory over Queensland at Perth. He stayed with Western Australia for another couple of seasons, with variable success. Meanwhile, he had made his Hampshire debut, against Oxford University in May 1988.
