Jimmie Ericsson
Jimmie Sven Ericsson (born 22 February 1980) is a Swedish former professional ice hockey Left wing who played for Skellefteå AIK of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). Playing career In 2013 Ericsson was awarded the Guldpucken and Peter Forsberg Trophy after a season where Skellefteå AIK won the Swedish Championship for the first time since 1978. In 2014 Ericsson help lead Skellefteå AIK to the Swedish Championship for the second year in a row, becoming the first club to repeat as champions since Djurgårdens IF in 2000 and 2001. Ericsson was the third-leading scorer during the playoffs, recording twelve goals and two assists in fourteen games. After 8 seasons in the SHL with Skellefteå, Ericsson opted for a new challenge in signing a one-year contract with Russian club, SKA Saint Petersburg of the KHL on 28 May 2014. Skellefteå
Skellefteå (, locally ) is a Cities in Sweden, city in Västerbotten County, Sweden. It is the seat of Skellefteå Municipality, which had 73,246 inhabitants in 2021. Jonathan Ericsson (born 2 March 1984) is a Swedish professional ice hockey defenceman who is currently an unrestricted free agent. He most recently played for the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League (NHL). Ericsson was drafted in the ninth round, 291st overall, in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, the final pick of the draft. He has played his entire NHL career with the Red Wings organization. Playing career Ericsson originally began his playing career as a centre, playing all but one game of the 2001–02 season at the position for HC Vita Hästen's junior team. ''Norran'' (previously named ''Norra Västerbotten'') is a Swedish language social democratic newspaper published in Skellefteå, Sweden. History and profile ''Norran'' was founded by a group of liberal newspaper enthusiasts led by Anton Wikström from Jörn in 1910. The first official edition was published 1 January 1911. 2014 IIHF World Championship
The 2014 IIHF World Championship was hosted by Belarus in its capital, Minsk, held from 9–25 May 2014. Sixteen national teams were competing in two venues, the Minsk-Arena and Chizhovka-Arena. It was the first time Belarus hosted the tournament. The selection of Belarus to host this competition was the subject of much debate, with some politicians in both Europe and the United States calling for the IIHF to move the tournament to another country. Russia with a mix of NHL and KHL stars (unlike other nations, Russia comprised a squad close to their 2014 Olympic squad) remained undefeated throughout the championship. The 2013 IIHF World Championship was the 77th event hosted by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF), held in Stockholm, Sweden and Helsinki, Finland, between 3–19 May 2013. TV4 and MTV3 served as host broadcasters of the event.
