Jim Vanderzwaan
Jim Willem Vanderzwaan (born May 1, 1950) is a Dutch-American television meteorologist who worked in Salinas, California. He holds the National Weather Association's seal of approval. His ability at weather forecasting has earned him awards from both the Associated Press and the Radio-Television News Directors Association. History Vanderzwaan was born in Aruba; he moved to the United States at 5 years of age and became a U.S. citizen in 1972. His career in broadcasting began in 1974 in Reno, Nevada. Pursuing an airman certificate in 1978 sparked his interest in meteorology and his career turned to broadcast meteorology two years later. Before permanently settling in his residence in the Salinas Valley in 1983 he worked at stations in Boise, Idaho and Medford, Oregon. Savaneta
Savaneta is a town and region in southeastern Aruba. Until 1797, it was the island's capital city. It is home to the island's oldest surviving home, a 150-year-old ''cas di torto'', or mud hut. The Savaneta region has an estimated area of 27.76 square kilometers and 11,518 inhabitants according to the 2010 census. History Savaneta is the oldest village of Aruba. In the 16th century, it became the capital of the Spanish administration. After Aruba was conquered by the Netherlands, the governor lived in Commander's Bay, a natural harbour near Savaneta. In 1797, the government moved to Paardenbaai which would later become Oranjestad. By 1816, only one house had remained inhabited. In 1852, the Canashito plantation was established, and workers were exempt for taxation for eight years. Still only 13 men and 5 boys moved to Savaneta that year. Medford is a city in and the county seat of Jackson County, Oregon, in the United States. As of the 2020 United States Census on April 1, 2020, the city had a total population of 85,824 and a metropolitan area population of 223,259, making the Medford MSA the fourth largest metro area in Oregon. Pilot licensing or certification refers to permits for operating aircraft. Flight crew licences are regulated by ICAO Annex 1 and issued by the civil aviation authority of each country.
