Jim Smith (writer)
James Edward Cooray Smith (born in Solihull in 1978) is a British writer, critic and columnist of patrilineal Indian descent. He has written for journals including ''New Statesman'' and '' Prospect''. He has also contributed to the ''Doctor Who'' audio and DVD range. Career A graduate of University College London, Cooray Smith has written radio drama and comedy. He has contributed to numerous news, film and science fiction magazines. He has a specific interest in British television history. Asked about his long-term habit of co-writing with a variety of people, Cooray Smith commented: "I've written things with a lot of different people, partially because I'm a great believer in third brain theory, and partially as a series of attempts to disguise my own lack of talent!" The Ultimate Foe
''The Ultimate Foe'' is the fourth and final serial of the larger narrative known as ''The Trial of a Time Lord'' which encompasses the whole of the 23rd season of the British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who''. It was first broadcast in two weekly parts on BBC1 on 29 November and 6 December 1986. This segment is also cited in some reference works under its working title of ''Time Incorporated'' (or ''Time Inc.''). The title ''The Ultimate Foe'' is never used on-screen and was first used in relation to these episodes for the 1988 novelisation, with the two episodes that comprise the serial being referred to as ''The Trial of a Time Lord'' Parts Thirteen and Fourteen. The Space Museum
''The Space Museum'' is the seventh serial of the second season in the British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who''. Written by Glyn Jones and directed by Mervyn Pinfield, it was broadcast on BBC1 in four weekly parts from 24 April to 15 May 1965. In the serial, the First Doctor (William Hartnell) and his travelling companions Ian Chesterton ( William Russell), Barbara Wright (Jacqueline Hill), and Vicki (Maureen O'Brien) arrive in a Space Museum on the planet Xeros, where they seek to change their fate after seeing themselves turned into museum exhibits in the future. They also become entangled in a conflict between the militaristic Moroks who run the museum, and the servile indigenous Xerons who work for them. ''The Twin Dilemma'' is the seventh and final serial of the 21st season of the British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who'', which was first broadcast in four twice-weekly parts from 22 March to 30 March 1984. In the serial, the alien Gastropod Mestor ( Edwin Richfield) plots to explode the sun of the planet Jaconda to scatter his eggs throughout the universe to conquer it. It was the first to star Colin Baker as the Sixth Doctor uniquely being the final story of the season. Plot After his regeneration, the Sixth Doctor starts behaving erratically. Fiona Moore
Fiona Moore is a Canadian academic, writer and critic based in London (UK). She is best known for writing works of TV criticism, short fiction, stage and audio plays (being one of the original members of the Magic Bullet Productions writing team and the coauthor of the "50 Things About..." column in Celestial Toyroom), and academic texts on the anthropology of business and organisations. Her research work has been described by Professor Roger Goodman at the University of Oxford's Nissan Institute as "engaging head-on with the growing and increasingly complex literature on transnationalism and globalisation and relating it constructively to key ideas in symbolic anthropology" A graduate of the University of Toronto and the University of Oxford, she is Chair of Business Anthropology at Royal Holloway, University of London. Alan Stevens is a British writer and producer who is based in the Southeast of England, where he runs his own audio production company, Magic Bullet Productions. ''Kaldor City'' is a series of audio plays using elements from the British TV series '' Doctor Who'' and ''Blake's 7''. Many of the elements borrowed from these series for use in ''Kaldor City'' were originated by Chris Boucher, who wrote for ''Doctor Who'' and was script editor for all four seasons of ''Blake's 7''.
