Jim Rempe
James Rempe (born November 4, 1947, in Scranton, Pennsylvania, US) is an American professional pocket billiards (pool) player, and was inducted into the Billiard Congress of America's Hall of Fame in 2002. Career Rempe began playing pool at the age of 6. he turned pro at the age of 22, winning over 100 tournaments in various pool disciplines. A winner of pocket billiard championship's, in Nine-ball, Eight-ball and Straight Pool. He is also the winner of the World Pool League in 1998 & 1999 and the Steve Mizerak Senior Tour. He accumulated many international tournament wins in the 1970s in Nine-ball and Straight Pool, thus acquiring the nickname "King James". In 1979, Rempe went to Australia where he defeated World Snooker Championship finalist Eddie Charlton in a series of Nine-ball, Rotation, and Straight Pool. Keith McCready
Keith McCready (born April 9, 1957) is an American professional pool player who played under the nickname "Earthquake". At one time considered among the top players in America, McCready has been a traveling tournament competitor and notorious hustler since the 1970s. Known for comedically interacting with the audience during matches, McCready was also a contributing writer for ''InsidePool'' magazine between 2003 and 2006. He also had a supporting role as the hustler Grady Seasons in the 1986 film ''The Color of Money''. Rex Williams
Desmond Rex Williams (born 20 July 1933) is a retired English professional snooker and billiards player. He was the second player to make an official maximum break, achieving this in an exhibition match in December 1965. Williams won the World Professional Billiards Championship from Clark McConachy in 1968, the first time that the title had been contested since 1951. Williams retained the title in several challenge matches in the 1970s, and, after losing it to Fred Davis in 1980, regained it from 1982 to 1983. He played a leading role in the re-establishment of the World Snooker Championship on a challenge basis in 1964, and lost twice to John Pulman, once in a single match and once in a series of matches played in South Africa. All Japan Championship (pool)
The All Japan Championship (also: ''Japan Championship'') is an annual international pool tournament founded by Kazuo Fujima in 1967, when there was an all-around completion with multiple disciplines. In the Men's tournament the current discipline is Ten-ball, however for the Women's tournament it is played in the discipline of Nine-ball. The All Japan Championship is currently sanctioned by the JPBA (Japan Professional Pocket Billiard Association). The first 20 years only held men's competitions. It was not until the 21st competition in 1988 that the Women's event was established. Most of the competition period is after the middle of November each year. The 1987 World Snooker Championship (also referred to as the 1987 Embassy World Snooker Championship for the purpose of sponsorship) was a professional snooker tournament that took place between 18 April and 4 May 1987 at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield, England.
