Jim Price (tight End)
James G. Price (born October 2, 1966) is a former American football tight end in the National Football League (NFL) for the Los Angeles Rams, Dallas Cowboys and the St. Louis Rams. He played college football at Stanford University. Early years Price grew up in Montville, New Jersey and played high school football at Montville Township High School, where he was a teammate of future NFL defensive end Lester Archambeau. He also practiced baseball and basketball. College career Price accepted a football scholarship from Stanford University. As a freshman, he was a reserve player behind Eric Snelson, making 6 receptions for 50 yards. As a sophomore, he was named the starter at tight end, collecting 15 receptions for 235 yards and 4 receiving touchdowns (tied for 8th in the PAC-10). Jim Price (linebacker)
James Bluford Price (September 17, 1940 – August 10, 2012) was a professional American football linebacker in the American Football League for the New York Jets and Denver Broncos. He was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the 3rd round (34th overall) of the 1963 NFL Draft. He played college football at Auburn University. Early years Price attended Ysleta High School, where he was a two-way player. He accepted a football scholarship from Auburn University, where he was a three-year starter at center and linebacker. As a sophomore, he was named the starter replacing graduated All-American Jackie Burkett, but suffered a dislocated right shoulder and missed 3 games, until returning to play against Georgia Tech. In 1962, he was named third-team All-SEC as a center. Jimmie William Price (born October 13, 1941) is a former professional baseball catcher, who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Detroit Tigers from to . He is also the current color commentator for the Detroit Tigers Radio Network. Baseball career Price was originally signed by the Pittsburgh Pirates in , and was listed as a top prospect in the Pirates’ early-1960s yearbooks. His best minor league season was , slugging 19 home runs while batting .311 for the Kinston Eagles of the Single-A Carolina League. For Price’s efforts he was named the Pirates Minor League Player of the Year. His MLB debut came with the 1967 Tigers, after his contract was purchased from the Pirates. 1967 was also Price’s best big league season, when he hit .261 in 44 games. James E. Price (born November 27, 1949) is an American former professional basketball player and coach. He played college basketball for the Louisville Cardinals and was selected by the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round of the 1972 NBA draft. Price played seven seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA) from 1972 to 1979, spending time with the Lakers, Milwaukee Bucks, Buffalo Braves, Denver Nuggets and Detroit Pistons. He was an All-Star in 1975. Playing with his older brother Mike Price, Jim Price helped lead his Arsenal Technical High School basketball team to the State Finals in 1966; the Titans finished the season with a 25-4 record. He was inducted into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame in 2008. James William Price (born 1945, Fort Worth, Texas, United States) is an American session musician. Because of saxophone player Bobby Keys' work with the Rolling Stones, Price was able to play with the Stones for most of the 1970s. He toured extensively with The Rolling Stones from 1970 until 1973, including their 1972 American Tour, and appears along with Keys on the albums ''Sticky Fingers'', ''Exile on Main St.'' and ''Goats Head Soup''. From September 1968 to February 1969, Price played with New Buffalo Springfield. He also toured and recorded with Delaney & Bonnie and Friends, Joe Cocker's '' Mad Dogs and Englishmen'' and Eric Clapton. Price played on several songs on Harry Nilsson's ''Nilsson Schmilsson.
