James Newman (actor)
James Milo Newman (born James Myron Newman; January 22, 1992) is an American actor. He played Tony Schneider on the US MTV television teen drama '' Skins''. Newman's first acting experience was auditioning for ''Skins''. He had previously planned to fight in the Golden Gloves boxing tournament (he had once boxed with Yuri Foreman). Personal life Newman was raised in Greenwich Village, New York. He is the son of actress Antonia Beresford Dauphin and producer Peter Ross Newman. His maternal grandmother, Ruda Dauphin (née Podemska), was the president of film production company Odeon International. James Newman (singer)
James Richard Newman (born 19 October 1985) is a British singer and songwriter. During the 2014 Brit Awards, he won the Brit Award for British Single of the Year as a co-writer of "Waiting All Night", a song by English band Rudimental. Newman was selected to represent the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 with the song, "My Last Breath" before its cancellation. He instead represented the country in the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 with the song "Embers”, which came in last place with nul points. James Lister Newman (23 April 1903 – 17 October 1983) was a New Zealand geriatrician and advocate for the elderly, a medical superintendent at Cornwall and Green Lane Hospitals in Auckland, and writer of the Family Doctor column in ''The New Zealand Herald''. Early life James Newman was born in London in 1903 the son of Charles Arnold and Kate Newman, née Beck. He was one of three sons of whom two, James and Charles, became doctors. He attended Shrewsbury School followed by Magdalene College at Cambridge University where he gained his Natural Sciences tripos. Newman qualified with an MRCS and LRCP in 1927, having completed his clinical years at Kings College Hospital in London. In 1929 he received his MB BChir medical degree from Cambridge Medical School. James Malcolm Newman CBE (20 June 1880 – 23 November 1973) was an Australian mining engineer and grazier. Newman was born at Caboolture in Queensland to Irish-born labourer and farmer James Newman and Elizabeth, ''née'' Irwin. He attended Brisbane Grammar School and the University of Sydney, graduating with a Bachelor of Engineering specialising in mining and metallurgy in 1901. From 1902 he worked as a trucker, timberman, miner and assistant surveyor at Broken Hill; he moved to Western Australia in 1904 to work as a surveyor with Peak Hill Goldfield Ltd, of which he was general manager in 1907. He married Elizabeth Maud in Perth on 3 October 1908, although they were later divorced. Newman returned to Queensland in 1908 to become a consultant to Mount Morgan Gold Mining Co. Captain James Newman-Newman (1767–1811) of the British Royal Navy was an officer who served in numerous actions with distinction during the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars before his death in the wreck of his ship of the line HMS ''Hero'', which was lost with two other battleships off the Northern European coast during a storm in December 1811. Over 2,000 sailors lost their lives. Career Newman-Newman was born in 1767, and joined the Royal Navy at a young age, serving as a lieutenant aboard the flagship of Sir Alexander Hood, HMS ''Royal George'' during the battle of the Glorious First of June, when a French fleet was defeated deep in the Atlantic by the British Channel Fleet under Lord Howe. Jim Newman (born 1933 in Omaha, Nebraska) is a film and television producer, contemporary art curator, gallerist and musician. Musical career and festival management Discovering bebop as a teenager and trained as a saxophonist, Newman attended Stanford University and Oberlin College, where he received his bachelor's degree in music in 1955. While at Oberlin he started a jazz club and was also a founding member, with Walter Hopps and Craig Kauffman, of Concerthall Workshop.
