Jim Hilles
James L. Hilles (born September 24, 1936) is a former American football player and coach. He served as the interim head football coach at University of Wisconsin–Madison for one season in 1986, compiling a record of 3–9. Early life, playing career, and education Hilles is a native of Warren, Ohio. As a player, Hilles lettered three years (1955–1957) in football at Ohio University, where he was selected captain his senior year. He received Mid-American Conference honorable mention before earning a Bachelor's degree in 1958. He received his Master of Arts degree in Secondary Administration from Westminster College in 1971. Coaching career After graduation, Hilles coached two seasons at Wilmington, Ohio and later moved to Toledo, Ohio for five years of coaching at Libbey High School and Macomber High School. The Chiwaukum Mountains are a north–south mountain range in central Washington, United States. They stretch from Snowgrass Mountain at , to . The mountains are made of schist, part of the Nason terrane. The original rock in the Nason terrane was laid down 210 Myr ago. The terrane then smashed into the western coastline of the continent, and the Mount Stuart batholith intruded into it in the late Cretaceous. The intrusion of the granitic rock metamorphosed the rock into schist. In July 2014, the lightning-caused Chiwaukum Creek Fire burned the east flank of the Chiwaukum Mountains. Jim Hill Mountain is a prominent mountain summit located in Chelan County, Washington, Chelan County of Washington (U.S. state), Washington state. Jim Hill Mountain is situated east of Stevens Pass, on the boundary of Alpine Lakes Wilderness, on land managed by the Okanogan–Wenatchee National Forest. Jim Hill Mountain is part of the Chiwaukum Mountains, which are a subset of the Cascade Range. Its nearest higher neighbor is Bulls Tooth, to the south. Precipitation Surface runoff, runoff from the peak drains into tributaries of Nason Creek, which in turn is a tributary of the Wenatchee River. Jim Hill Mountain is set immediately south of the east portal of the Cascade Tunnel, which was built by the Great Northern Railway (U.S.), Great Northern Railway. Jim Hill High School is a public high school in Jackson, Mississippi, United States, hosting the state's first International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB) program. It hosts Advanced Placement courses, a JROTC, and a SOAR program. History Jim Hill was founded in 1912 by James Hill, hence the name "Jim Hill" High School, for the establishment of a secondary institution for African Americans in the Jackson, Mississippi area. The former building was established on Lynch Street as an elementary school to educate the youth of West Jackson. The current building was constructed in the 1960s in the Washington Addition neighborhood. Carl Michael Edwards II (born August 15, 1979) is an American former professional stock car racing driver. He last competed in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, driving the No. 19 Toyota Camry for Joe Gibbs Racing. Prior to that, he drove the No. 99 Ford Fusion for Roush Fenway Racing. James Webster Hill (born October 21, 1946) is a Los Angeles-based sportscaster and currently lead sports anchor and sports director at KCBS-TV. He is a former American football defensive back who played in the National Football League. Football career Hill played college football at Texas A&I University (now Texas A&M University–Kingsville). Jim Hill (athlete)
Jim Hill (born July 1, 1961) is an American former distance runner who competed over distances from the 1500 metres to the 10,000 metres. He represented the United States at the 1983 World Championships in Athletics in the 5000 metres, where he finished 16th overall, and at the 1979 IAAF World Cross Country Championships in the junior men's race where he finished 12th individually and helped his team to a 4th-place finish. He was also a five-time NCAA Division 1 All American and 4 time Pac 10 Champion in cross country and track and field while at the University of Oregon.
