Jim Haynie
Jim Haynie (February 6, 1940 - April 4, 2021) was an American actor best known for his small roles in television shows and films. Notable among his film credits are performances in ''Pretty in Pink'' (1986), ''The Bridges of Madison County'' (1995), and ''The Peacemaker'' (1997). Early life Haynie was born in Falls Church, Virginia, the older of two boys. During his childhood, his family moved around frequently due to his father changing jobs every year or two, residing in various towns in Oklahoma and then Ohio. In his senior year of high school, his family settled in Sunnyvale, California, and after graduating, he headed to UC Davis, where he majored in dramatic art. Steven Gregory Stayner (April 18, 1965September 16, 1989) was an American kidnapping victim. On December 4, 1972, seven-year-old Stayner was abducted in Merced, California, by child molester Kenneth Parnell. He was held by his abductor away in Mariposa County, California, and later in Mendocino County, California, until he was aged 14, when he managed to escape with another of Parnell's victims, Timothy White. Birth and family Steven Stayner was the third of five children born to Delbert and Kay Stayner in Merced, California. He had three sisters and an older brother, Cary. In 2002, Cary was convicted and sentenced to death for the murders of four women. Plot A young doctor in Los Angeles named John Wesford becomes a suspect when a series of Jack the Ripper copycat killings is committed. He and another young doctor (Jack Pendler) are at the scene of the final crime in the series; they know each other because they both work for the same medical unit, reporting to the abusive Dr. Sidney Tannerson. Pendler seems to realize that John Wesford's testimony will likely lead to his being arrested as the killer, and in an ambiguously staged scene, murders him, staging the scene to resemble a suicide.
