Jim DeRose
Jim DeRose (born c. 1967 in Cinnaminson Township, New Jersey) is an American college soccer coach at Bradley University. He also spent one season as a goalkeeper with the New Mexico Chiles in the American Professional Soccer League. Player DeRose attended Johnson State College, playing on the men's soccer team from 1985 to 1988. He was an NAIA first team All American and the New England Player of the Year in 1988. He graduated in 1989 with a bachelor's degree in secondary education. In 1990, DeRose spent one season with the New Mexico Chiles of the American Professional Soccer League. The Chiles lasted only one season before folding. During this time, soccer in the United States was experiencing great turbulence. Teams and leagues lasted a few years at the most before collapsing. Cinnaminson Township, New Jersey
Cinnaminson Township is a township in Burlington County, New Jersey, United States. Cinnaminson Township borders the Delaware River, and is an eastern suburb of Philadelphia. As of the 2010 United States Census, the township's population was 15,569, reflecting an increase of 974 (+6.7%) from the 14,595 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn increased by 12 (+0.1%) from the 14,583 counted in the 1990 Census. Cinnaminson was incorporated as a township by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 15, 1860, from portions of Chester Township (now known as Maple Shade Township). New Mexico Chiles (APSL) Players
The New Mexico Chiles were an American soccer club established in 1990 which competed in the American Professional Soccer League. In 1991, the team merged with the New Mexico Roadrunners and moved to the USISL until its disestablishment in 1996. History In 1986, the semi-professional Albuquerque Outlaws entered the newly established Southwest Indoor Soccer League. In 1987, the team became the Albuquerque Gunners. In 1989, the SISL and Gunners began playing both a summer outdoor as well as a winter indoor season. The team was renamed the New Mexico Roadrunners for the 1990/91 indoor season.
