Jim Avila
James Avila is an American News broadcasting#Television news, television journalist, currently the Senior Law and Justice Correspondent for ABC News. He graduated from Glenbard East High School with the name of Jim Simon. Before joining ABC, he was a correspondent for NBC News. He frequently anchors ABC's ''World News Saturday''. From 1994 to 1996, Avila was the investigative reporter for local NBC station KNBC in Los Angeles where he reported on the O. J. Simpson murder case. The station won the 1995 Golden Mike Award and a 1996 Emmy Award for that trial coverage. Glenbard East High School
Glenbard East High School, or GBE, is a public four-year high school located in Lombard, Illinois, a western suburb of Chicago, in the United States. It is part of Glenbard Township High School District 87. East, on average, draws around 2,500 students from Lombard, and portions of Glendale Heights, Addison, and Bloomingdale. History Glenbard East High School opened in September 1959 with a student body of 525 students and 28 staff members. In the week prior to the school's opening, a tornado or microburst hit the school, causing significant damage. The east wall of the Tower section of the building was sucked out and fell through the roof of the then-unnamed auditorium. The classroom wing was unaffected, but the start of school was postponed for two weeks. KNBC (channel 4) is a television station in Los Angeles, California, United States, serving as the West Coast flagship of the NBC network. It is owned and operated by the network's NBC Owned Television Stations division alongside Corona-licensed Telemundo outlet KVEA (channel 52).
