Jim Anderson is a recording engineer and producer for acoustic music in the recording, radio, television, and film industries. Early career Anderson attended Pittsburgh's Duquesne University. He worked at the public radio station, WDUQ-FM and was later employed for six years at National Public Radio as a broadcast technician. Awards Anderson's recordings have received 11 Grammy-awards and 26 Grammy nominations. In broadcasting, his work has received two Peabody Awards for radio programs and two Emmy Award nominations for television programs. Jazz
Jazz is a music genre that originated in the African-American communities of New Orleans, Louisiana in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, with its roots in blues and ragtime. Since the 1920s Jazz Age, it has been recognized as a major form of musical expression in traditional and popular music.
