Jiloca (comarca)
Jiloca Comarca is a comarca in Aragon, Spain. It is located in Teruel Province, in the mountainous Iberian System area. Its capital is Calamocha and it was formerly known as ''Comarca de Calamocha''. The Jiloca River gives its name to this wine-producing comarca. The main mountain ranges in the area are Sierra Palomera, Sierra de Cucalón, Sierra Menera and Sierra de Santa Cruz-Valdelacasa. Jiloca River
The Jiloca () is a river in Aragón, Spain, a tributary of the river Jalón, and part of the watershed of the Ebro basin. The course of the river runs through the provinces of Teruel and Zaragoza. It has a length of and an average flow rate of , although this varies between the seasons. The river flows in a generally north easterly direction from its source near Monreal del Campo. The valley was an historic route between the Meseta Central and the Mediterranean coast. Roman bridges remain in many pueblos and remains of watermills can be seen. The water is generally of good quality and supports a range of wildlife. Cleaning works by the regional government have been criticised by environmental organisations who claim that the ecology has been damaged. The watershed covers an area of . Sierra De Santa Cruz, Aragon
Sierra de Santa Cruz is a mountain range in the Campo de Daroca comarca, Aragon, Spain. It is located north of the Laguna de Gallocanta. Geography The ridge is aligned in a NW-SE direction. Its highest point is Cerro de Santa Cruz (1,423 m). The ''Ermita de Santa Cruz'' shrine is located in the range. This mountain chain rises west of Daroca and stretches through the municipal terms of Balconchán, Atea, Orcajo, Cubel, Valdehorna, Val de San Martín and Santed. Sierra Menera
Sierra Menera is a long mountain range in the southwestern end of the Iberian System. Administratively the Sierra Menera belongs to the Sierra de Albarracín, Jiloca and Comunidad de Teruel, comarcas of Aragon, as well as to the Province of Guadalajara, Castile-La Mancha in its western side. The Castle of Peracense rises atop an escarpment in the southern part of the range. The place known as ''Mirador de la Marajosa'' offers ample views of the surrounding landscape. There are aerogenerators on some of the Sierra Menera's ridges. Geography The main range is aligned in a NNW - SSE direction. It is not as high or conspicuous as other mountain ranges of the Iberian System. From the hydrographic point of view the Sierra Menera divides the Atlantic from the Mediterranean watershed.
