Jill Gohdes
Jill Gohdes (née Dwyer) (born 19 May 1990) is a former field hockey player from Australia, who played as a forward. Personal life Jill Gohdes is married to fellow former Australian representative, Matthew Gohdes. The couple married in December 2015 and have one child. Career Domestic hockey Club hockey In her home competition, Division 1 of Hockey Queensland's BWHA, Gohdes represents the Easts Tigers. AHL Gohdes made her debut in the Australian Hockey League (AHL) in 2009, as a member of the Queensland Scorchers. Her AHL career spanned seven years, from 2009 to 2015. Throughout this time, she won two AHL titles, in 2013 and 2015. International hockey Under–21 In 2008, Gohdes made her first appearance for her country as a member of the Australia U–21 side, the Jillaroos, at the Junior Oceania Cup in Brisbane. 2013 Women's Australian Hockey League
The 2013 Women's Australian Hockey League was the 21st edition of the women's field hockey tournament. The tournament was held in the Tasmania city of Hobart. The Queensland Scorchers won the gold medal for the fourth time by defeating the WA Diamonds 2–0 in a penalty shoot-out, after the final ended a 0–0 draw. Competition format The tournament is divided into two pools, Pool A and Pool B, consisting of four teams in a round-robin format. Teams then progress into either Pool C, the medal round, or Pool D, the classification round. Teams carry over points from their previous match ups, and contest teams they are yet to play. The top two teams in each of pools A and B then progress to Pool C. The Indian women's national field hockey team (nicknamed the ''Nabhvarna'') represents India in international field hockey, and is governed by Hockey India. Nabhvarna are currently ranked 6th in the FIH World Rankings, and are ranked as the best team in Asia. They have won the gold medals at the 2002 Commonwealth Games and 1982 Asian Games. They have also won the Women's Asia Cup twice, i.e. in 2004 and 2017. They also won the Asian Champions Trophy in 2016.
