Jihaeng Station
Jihaeng Station is a ground-level metro station on Line 1 of the Seoul Subway in Jihaeng-dong, Dongducheon, South Korea. It opened on January 30, 2005, to services on the Gyeongwon Line and services on the Seoul Metropolitan Subway began calling here on December 15, 2006. The station offers access to Dongducheon Foreign Language High School, Central Middle and High School, Jihaeng Elementary School, Science Tower and Songnae-dong Office, among other places. Dongducheon
Dongducheon () is a city in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. The city, to the north of Seoul, is strategically important for the defense of the Korean capital. The main camps of the United States Second Infantry Division are in the city, and the division command is at Uijeongbu. History Under Goguryeo, the dynasty's territory extended southward into Korean peninsula, and Dongducheon became part of the kingdom in the form of ''naeulmae hyun'' (a certain form of ancient village land holding). Later Dongducheon became Sacheon village of Unified Silla in the North-South States Period. It was part of the district of Yangju in Goryeo. Gyeongwon Line
The Gyeongwon Line is a railway line serving northeastern Gyeonggi Province in South Korea. The line is operated by Korail. The name of the line came from ''Gyeongseong'' (Seoul) and ''Wonsan'', the original terminus of the line, in what is now North Korea. The Seoul Metropolitan Subway is a metropolitan railway system consisting of 23 rapid transit, light metro, commuter rail and people mover lines located in northwest South Korea.
