Jiashan Subdistrict
Jiashan County () is a county in the north of Zhejiang Province, bordering Shanghai to the northeast and Jiangsu province to the north. It is administered by the prefecture-level city of Jiaxing. Jiashan is nicknamed "The Land of Fish and Rice", and is southwest of central Shanghai, east of Hangzhou, and south of Suzhou. The county seat is located on 126 People Avenue, Weitang Town. The second campus of Sanda University, known as Guangbiao Institute, is located in Jiashan County. History Jiashan formerly was part of Jiaxing. In 1430, Jiashan was established. On 1 November 2022, the county was named by a guideline of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) as a "leading trial area" for common prosperity. Sun Daolin
Sun Daolin () (December 18, 1921 – December 28, 2007) was a Chinese actor and film director. Biography Sun Daolin was born in Beijing on November 18, 1921. He was born Sun Yiliang 孙以亮 into a family of four children. His father Sun Wenyao (孫文耀) was trained as railroad engineer in Brussels, Belgium. His mother Fan Nianhua (范念华) and father both are originally from Jiashan County, Zhejiang. He along with all his siblings learned to speak English since grade school. He attended Yenching University, but his studies in philosophy were interrupted by the Second Sino-Japanese War. During the war he was active in patriotic activities including stage acting and he was jailed briefly by the Japanese Puppet Regime. After the war, he completed his studies and received a degree in philosophy in 1947. His career had spanned much of the PRC history. Wu Zhen (painter)
Wu Zhen () (1280–1354 C.E.) was a Chinese painter during the Yuan Dynasty. He was best known for being one of the Four Masters of the Yuan. Biography He was born in Weitang (now known as Chengguan). Most of his family is unknown. Zhen graduated being educated in philosophy and swordsmanship. Shortly after his graduation, he chose to become a painter. His paintings did not sell well, but he had close friends who taught him how to paint, including Wu Guan, Zhang Guan, and Tao Zhongyi. Artworks Many of Zhen's artworks were landscape paintings and paintings of bamboo. He also occasionally inserted poems into his artworks, which also helped him become better at calligraphy, poetry and artwork simultaneously. Jiashan Senior High School
Jiashan Senior High School ( Chinese: 嘉善高级中学), formerly known as Jiashan County Junior High School, Jiashan County First Junior High School, and Jiashan Second High School, was founded in September, 1926. It is the earliest established high school in Jiashan County, and is a key high school in Zhejiang Province. In August, 2001, the school was relocated to a new site, 318 Jiashan People Ave., and was renamed Jiashan Senior High School. Taozhuang
Taozhuang is a town of Jiashan County, Zhejiang Province, China. Located in the northwest of the county, Taozhuang is famous for Lake Fenhu and its steel market. History Name Taozhuang was known as Liuxi (柳溪).
