Jiang Zhuoqing
Jiang Zhuoqing (; born August 1959) is a Chinese politician, who is serving as the Chairperson of the Shanghai People's Congress since 2020. Career Jiang was born in Cixi, Zhejiang province. He began his career as a waiter of Xiangyang Restaurant in 1979, then he studied in Shanghai Business School in 1980. After graduating, he began to serve in Shanghai Finance Bureau, until he served as the deputy Director from 1994 to 2002. In 2002, Jiang was appointed as the District Governor of Yangpu District. During this period, he established the first online interactive platform between the District Governor and residents in Shanghai. In 2006, Jiang was appointed as the Shanghai Director of Labor and Social Security Bureau, after Shanghai pension scandal. The Shanghai Municipal People's Congress (SMPC; ) is the Shanghai's local legislature within the PRC. With 855 members in 2020, SMPC is the elected council of Shanghai that oversees the Shanghai Government. The SMPC is elected for a term of five years. Yin Yicui
Yin Yicui (; born January 1955) is a Chinese Communist Party politician who previously served as the Chairwoman of the Shanghai People's Congress from 2013 to 2020. Career Yin was born in Cangnan County, Zhejiang province. She began her career as a teenager in a food processing factory in Jing'an District, where she joined the Communist Youth League. Yin is a graduate of East China Normal University, where she received her bachelor's degree in 1982 and master's degree in 1995. After graduating she stayed at the school to be a political instructor and lecturer. In 1992 she was named deputy governor of Jing'an District, then in 1994 she was appointed deputy head of the municipal office of education and health (department-level). Cixi (), alternately romanized as Tzeki, is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of the sub-provincial city of Ningbo, in the north of Zhejiang province, China. The Shanghai pension scandal was a corruption case in Shanghai, China. Ultimately, former Shanghai party chief Chen Liangyu was implicated in the scandal and removed from office. Other high-ranking officials were also implicated such as Zhu Junyi, Qin Yu, Yu Zhifei, and Chen Chaoxian. Politburo Standing Committee member and Vice-Premier Huang Ju and his wife Yu Huiwen were also believed to be involved, but were never officially exposed as being part of the scandal.
