Jhamra ( pa, ) is a village at the Faisalabad District in Punjab, Pakistan. It is known for being birthplace of Rai Ahmad Khan Kharal, a famous Punjabi Muslims, Punjabi Muslim freedom fighter of Indian Rebellion of 1857, War of Independence (1857), who was known as Nawab of Jhamra. Rai Ahmad Khan Kharal
Rai Ahmad Khan Kharal ( pa, ; – 21 September 1857), widely known as Nawab of Jhamra, was a Punjabi Muslim chieftain of the Kharal tribe. He led rebellion in the Bar region of Punjab against the British East India Company in the War of Independence of 1857 and died fighting against it on 21st of September, 1857, at the age of 81. He is today considered a folk hero in Punjab. Tandlianwala ( Punjabi, ur, ) is a city and Tehsil in Punjab, Pakistan. It is located 50 km from the city of Faisalabad and 44 km from city of Okara. It is a sub-division of Faisalabad District and has a Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA). History Tandlianwala was established as a Mandi, meaning market, during the colonization of west Punjab. In 1887, it was given the status of "sub tehsil". The town committee came into being during 1965. During 1966-1990, the town expanded rapidly because of the construction of a bridge over the Ravi River. Fixed telephony The area codes in Pakistan consists of two to five digits; generally smaller the city, longer the prefix. All large cities have two-digit codes. The smaller towns might have six digital whereas big cities have seven digit numbers. Azad Kashmir telephone lines contain five digits. On 1 July 2009, telephone numbers in Karachi and Lahore were changed from seven digits to eight digits.
