Jezebel (2019 Film)
''Jezebel'' is a 2019 semi-autobiographical drama film written and directed by Numa Perrier and starring actress Tiffany Tenille. The plot follows a 19-year-old girl, also named Tiffany, who begins to do sex work as a cam girl to financially support herself. ''Jezebel'' premiered at SXSW on March 9, 2019, and was selected as a "Best of SXSW" film by '' The Hollywood Reporter''. Numa Perrier
Numa Perrier is a Haitian-American actress, artist, director, writer, and producer. She is a co-founder of Black&Sexy TV. Her debut feature film, ''Jezebel'', premiered at SXSW in 2019 and received accolades from the American Black Film Festival and the Indie Memphis Film Festival. Early life Perrier was born in Haiti and was adopted and raised in Washington state in a family of eight children. She got to know her biological mother when she was 17. Jezebel Stereotype
Stereotypes of African Americans are misleading beliefs about the culture of people of African descent who reside in the United States, largely connected to the racism and discrimination which African Americans are subjected to. These beliefs date back to the slavery of black people during the colonial era and they have evolved within American society. The BlackStar Film Festival is a Philadelphia film festival focused on films about and by black, brown and indigenous people from around the world. It has been described as the "Black Sundance. The festival is named after Marcus Garvey's shipping line, the Black Star Line.
