Berlin University
Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (german: Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, abbreviated HU Berlin) is a German public research university in the central borough of Mitte in Berlin. Vissarion Grigorievich Alekseyev (Russian language, Russian: Виссарион Григорьевич Алексеев; 18 June 1866 – 1943) was a Russian mathematician. 1909-1914 and 1917–1918 he was the rector of Tartu University. He was graduated from Moscow University. Since 1891 he worked at Tartu University. In 1920 he moved permanently to Estonia. He died in 1943 in Poland.
