Jetrel
"Jetrel" is the 15th episode of the first season of '' Star Trek: Voyager''. Neelix has mixed feelings as he encounters a former enemy of his alien race. The story for this television episode was written by James Thomton and Scott Nimerfro, while the teleplay (aka script) was written by Jack Klein, Karen Klein, and Kenneth Biller and it was directed by Kim Friedman. James Sloyan
James Joseph Sloyan (born February 24, 1940 in Indianapolis, Indiana) is an American actor. Early years Sloyan left the United States at an early age to live abroad in Rome, Capri, Milan, Switzerland, and Ireland. His career in show business began upon his return to the United States, in 1957, when Sloyan received a scholarship to the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Sloyan's acting career was interrupted in 1962, when he was drafted into the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Neelix
Neelix () is a character in the science fiction television series '' Star Trek: Voyager'', played by actor Ethan Phillips since the series' inception. Neelix is an alien native to the distant far side of the galaxy, who has joined the crew of the United Federation of Planets starship USS ''Voyager'' as a cook, morale officer and later as ambassador after its being captured by a mysterious shock wave to the Delta Quadrant. Casting Neelix was played by actor Ethan Phillips. Phillips had a master's degree in fine arts from Cornell University, and had his start in acting performing on Broadway shows. Kes is a fictional character on the American science fiction television show '' Star Trek: Voyager''. She is portrayed by actress Jennifer Lien. Set in the 24th century of the ''Star Trek'' universe, the series follows the crew of the starship USS ''Voyager'', stranded far from home and struggling to get back to Earth. Kes is a member of the Ocampa (a telepathic alien species with an average life expectancy of nine years) who joins the crew in the series' premiere episode along with her Talaxian boyfriend, Neelix. The technology in ''Star Trek'' has borrowed many ideas from the scientific world. Episodes often contain technologies named after real-world scientific phenomena, such as tachyon beams, baryon sweeps, quantum slipstream drives, and photon torpedoes. Nielsen Media Research (NMR) is an American firm that measures media audiences, including television, radio, theatre, films (via the AMC Theatres MAP program), and newspapers.
