Jetix Europe
Jetix Europe N.V. (formerly known as Fox Kids Europe N.V.) was a European television broadcasting company that owned children's television channels and programming blocks across Europe and Asia, such as Jetix and Jetix Play. History Fox Kids Europe Formation In September 1995, Fox Broadcasting Company and Saban Entertainment announced they had formed a strategic partnership in the creation of children's programming networks worldwide under the Fox Kids umbrella. The networks would capitalise on Saban's library and Fox-parent News Corp's distribution strength. Disney XD (Poland)
Disney XD is a Polish television channel owned and operated by The Walt Disney Company Limited. It was originally launched as Fox Kids on 18 April 1998, and relaunched as Jetix on 1 January 2005, and rebranded as Disney XD on 19 September 2009. The targeted ages are 6 to 15 years old. Since 10 April 2014, the channel broadcasts for 24 hours a day; before this date the channel was on-air for 18 hours, from 6:00 a.m. to midnight. Following the closure of the Dutch version on 1 May 2025, Disney XD Poland is, alongside the Canadian version, one of the two surviving feeds outside of the United States. Disney XD (Scandinavia)
Disney XD was a children's channel offered in the Nordic countries that broadcast 16 hours a day, between 6:00 am and 11:00 pm CET. It replaced Jetix and Toon Disney on 12 September 2009. Jetix used to end its broadcast daily at 6:00 pm. Disney XD was funded by advertising, as was Jetix, while Toon Disney was commercial-free. Much of the distribution used by the two former channels was taken over by Disney XD. This includes the analogue frequency in YouSee's cable network, previously used by Jetix and Hallmark Channel. The channel was also available terrestrially in Denmark from 1 November 2009, via the Boxer platform. Jetix was granted a license to broadcast terrestrially in Sweden in March 2008, but were yet to use it due to transmission disputes. The Jetix Play name was primarily used as a sister channel to Jetix in a small number of regions, such as Central and Eastern Europe, and Middle East. Jetix (stylized in all caps) was a children's entertainment brand owned by The Walt Disney Company. The brand was for a slate of action and adventure-related programming blocks and television channels. Jetix programming mainly originated from the Saban Entertainment library, airing live-action and animated series with some original programming. The channel's target audience was older children and adolescents aged 8–15.
