Jesús Herrera Alonso
Jesús 'Chus' Herrera Alonso (5 February 1938 – 20 October 1962) was a Spanish footballer who played as a forward. Club career Born in Cabueñes, Gijón, Herrera made his professional debuts with Real Oviedo in Segunda División, playing two seasons in that level with the club. In 1958, he joined Real Madrid. During his spell with the latter, Herrera was used mostly as a backup to the likes of Alfredo Di Stéfano, Francisco Gento, Raymond Kopa, Ferenc Puskás and Héctor Rial. In the 1959–60 edition of the European Cup, he scored three goals in five games – two against Jeunesse Esch (7–0 home win) and one against OGC Nice (2–3 away loss) – helping the team renew their supremacy in the competition. On 4 September 1960, Herrera netted the fourth goal in a 5–1 defeat of C.A. Peñarol in the Intercontinental Cup (also the aggregate score). Cabueñes is a parish of the municipality of Gijón, in Asturias, Spain. Its population was 1,467 in 2012. Ferenc Puskás
Ferenc Puskás (, ; born Ferenc Purczeld; 1 April 1927 – 17 November 2006) was a Hungarian football player and manager, widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time and the sport's first international superstar. A forward, he scored 84 goals in 85 international matches for Hungary and played four international matches for Spain. He became an Olympic champion in 1952 and led his nation to the final of the 1954 World Cup. He won three European Cups (1959, 1960, 1966), ten national championships (five Hungarian and five Spanish Primera División) and eight top individual scoring honors. The 1960 Intercontinental Cup was the inaugural edition of the matchup between the reigning European football champion and the reigning South American football champion. The idea was born of discussions between Pierre Delauney, UEFA secretary and José Ramón de Freitas, CONMEBOL secretary. The 1958–59 European Cup was the fourth season of the European Cup, Europe's premier club football tournament. The competition was won by Real Madrid for the fourth time in a row, who beat Reims 2–0 in the final at Neckarstadion, Stuttgart, on 3 June 1959. Jeunesse Esch (full name ''Association Sportive la Jeunesse d'Esch/Alzette'') is a football club, based in Esch-sur-Alzette, in south-western Luxembourg. The side play in the National Division, the highest league in the country, and have won the league title on 28 occasions between 1921 and 2010, the most of any team in Luxembourg.
