Jesus Sablan
Jesus Rosario Sablan (born April 16, 1952) is a Northern Mariana Islander politician who served as the fifth lieutenant governor of the Northern Mariana Islands from January 12, 1998 to January 14, 2002, under former Governor Pedro Tenorio. Sablan ran as a Republican candidate for governor in the 2001 gubernatorial election. Pedro Pangelinan Tenorio
Pedro "Teno" Pangelinan Tenorio (April 18, 1934 – May 21, 2018) was a Northern Mariana Islander politician who served as the second and fifth governor of the Northern Mariana Islands from January 11, 1982 to January 8, 1990 and then from January 12, 1998 to January 14, 2002. With 12 years in office, Tenorio was the longest-serving governor in CNMI history. Biography Tenorio was born on Saipan. He graduated from George Washington High School in Guam and attended the University of Guam. He worked as a schoolteacher, a shipping executive, and a supervisor for a Naval technical and training unit. Juan Nekai Babauta (born September 7, 1953) is a Northern Mariana Islander politician who served as the sixth governor of the Northern Mariana Islands from January 14, 2002 to January 9, 2006. Biography Early life and education Juan Babauta was born in Tanapag, Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands on September 7, 1953. He is the oldest of his family's nine children. Babauta completed elementary school on Saipan. His parents then sent him to the mainland United States to continue his education. Babuata moved to Enosburg Falls, Vermont where he attended Enosburg Falls High School while living on a dairy farm with a host family for three years. Jesus "Jesse" Camacho Borja (born September 14, 1948) is a Northern Mariana Islander politician and lawyer who served as the fourth lieutenant governor of the Northern Mariana Islands from January 10, 1994 until January 12, 1998 under former Democratic Governor Froilan Tenorio. The CNMI Republican Party is a political party in the Northern Mariana Islands. The Northern Mariana Islands Republican Party is now associated with the United States Republican Party though no Northern Mariana Islands politicians have achieved high-ranking positions in the mainland United States.
