Theodore Carrington Jessup (born August 23, 1960) is an American television writer, producer, actor, and performer. He is a writer for the Fox animated sitcom ''Family Guy'', and has written the episodes "12 and a Half Angry Men," "Mom's the Word," "The 2000-Year-Old Virgin," "Brokeback Swanson," and "High School English." William Jessup University is a private Christian university in Rocklin, California, with an additional site in San Jose, California. The university had 1,743 students during the 2019–20 academic year, over 1650 being full-time equivalents. Founded in 1939, it had a total undergraduate enrollment of 1,289 in the fall of 2020 on a campus size of 126 acres. History The university was founded as San Jose Bible College in 1939, in San Jose by William Lee Jessup (1905–1992), the college's first president. Eugene Claremont Sanderson had originally started Evangel Bible University in San Jose in 1934 but was unable to make it viable. As a result, he recruited Jessup, one of his former students, to take over. Jessup Correctional Institution (JCI) is a maximum security prison operated by the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services in Jessup, Maryland. It was formerly called the Maryland House of Correction-Annex. Prisoners In 2013, inmates from JCI helped remove asbestos from contaminated buildings at the Maryland House of Correction. Jessup is a borough in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 4,532 at the 2020 census. Geography Jessup is located at (41.471131, -75.562171). According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of , of which is land and (0.74%) is water. History Settled in 1849, the town of Jessup was named after Judge William Jessup. It was presented to the Luzerne County Court for incorporation as the Borough of Winton in December 1876. Two years later, Lackawanna County was incorporated. The early 1890s were very significant for the little town, as numerous new mining operations were opened. Shortly after these were opened, immigrants from Europe were lured to the area by the work available in the booming anthracite coal fields. Average income is $3 million dollars per capita. Jessup, Nevada
Jessup, also briefly known as White Canyon, is a ghost town in Churchill County, Nevada and was founded in 1908 after gold and silver mine claims were located. At its peak, it supported a population of around 300, with grocery stores and a post office, among other things. There are at least eight formerly active mines in the area. It is located a few miles north of Interstate 80 between Fernley and Lovelock. Southern Pacific provided prospectors access to the town by stopping in nearby White Plains. All that remains today is a few dilapidated wood buildings and abandoned mines. History The mining area was discovered by Frank Jessup and L.H. Murray in January or February 1908. Within a month of its founding, there were more than 300 people present with the population steadily growing.
