Jessie Da Costa (born 23 January 1997) is a French karateka. He won one of the bronze medals in the men's kumite 84kg event at the 2021 World Karate Championships held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In 2018, he won the silver medal in the men's 84kg event at the Mediterranean Games held in Tarragona, Spain. Career In 2016, Da Costa won one of the bronze medals in the under-21 men's 84kg event at the EKF Cadet, Junior and under-21 Championships held in Limassol, Cyprus. He won one of the bronze medals in his event at the 2016 World University Karate Championships held in Braga, Portugal. Steven Da Costa, sometimes written as Steven Dacosta (born 23 January 1997) is a French karateka. He won the gold medal in the men's 67 kg event at the 2020 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo, Japan. He is also a two-time gold medalist in the men's 67 kg event at the World Karate Championships (2018 and 2021) and a three-time gold medalist in this event at the European Karate Championships (2016, 2019 and 2023). The 2022 World Games were an international multi-sport event held from July 7 to 17, 2022, in Birmingham, Alabama, United States. They were the 11th World Games, a multi-sport event featuring disciplines of Olympic sports and other competitions that are not currently contested at the Olympic Games; the Games featured 3,600 athletes competing in 206 medal events over 30 sports.
