"Jessie" is a song by American singer-songwriter Joshua Kadison, released in May 1993 as the debut and lead single from his first album, '' Painted Desert Serenade'' (1993), but did not become a hit in continental Europe until 1994 and in the United Kingdom until 1995 (on its third release). The song was a top-10 hit in Austria, Denmark, the Netherlands, and New Zealand. Content The song describes the narrator's tumultuous relationship with a woman named Jessie. The person named Jessie in this song was rumoured to be Sarah Jessica Parker, with whom Kadison was involved at the time. This has never been confirmed, and it has also been pointed out that Parker has never been known to be called "Jessie" or own a cat named Moses. Joshua Kadison (born February 8, 1963) is an American singer-songwriter, pianist, and writer, who was born in Los Angeles, California. He is perhaps best known for the top 40 hits " Jessie" and " Beautiful in My Eyes" from his debut album '' Painted Desert Serenade''. He is the son of actress Gloria Castillo, who was the inspiration behind his song "Mama's Arms". His musical style and voice are compared to Elton John. Chorus Effect
Chorus (or chorusing, choruser or chorused effect) is an audio effect that occurs when individual sounds with approximately the same time, and very similar pitches, converge. While similar sounds coming from multiple sources can occur naturally, as in the case of a choir or string orchestra, it can also be simulated using an electronic effects unit or signal processing device. When the effect is produced successfully, none of the constituent sounds are perceived as being out of tune. It is characteristic of sounds with a rich, shimmering quality that would be absent if the sound came from a single source. The shimmer occurs because of beating.
