Jessel Carneiro
Jessel Allen Carneiro (born 14 July 1990) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as left-back and is the captain of Indian Super League club Kerala Blasters. Club career Youth career Jessel was born in Curtorim, a town in Southern Goa. He started his youth career at Raya FC and later went on to play for his local club FC Curtorim Gymkhana. Early career:2012–2019 In 2012, he signed for Dempo S.C and spent two years there before moving to Pune F.C on a loan deal for the 2014–15 season. In 2016, he signed for FC Bardez which plays in the Goa Professional League. He was signed again by his former club Dempo S.C in 2018. Kerala Blasters Football Club (), commonly referred to as The Blasters, is an Indian professional football club based in Kochi, Kerala, that competes in the Indian Super League, the top tier of football in India. The 2020–21 Indian Super League season was the seventh season of the Indian Super League (ISL) since its formation and the 25th season of the top division of the Indian football league system. The 2021–22 season was the eighth season in Kerala Blasters FC's existence, as well as their eighth season in Indian Super League. The 2021–22 Indian Super League season began on 19 November 2021, and it end on 20 March 2022 with all the matches held in Goa across three venues, same like the previous season due to the COVID-19 pandemic in India. The Blasters played the most number of pre-season friendlies among all ISL clubs prior to the start of league season. In this season, the Blasters made their debut in the Durand Cup by participating in the tournament's 2021 edition, but was knocked out in the group stages of the tournament. 2021 Durand Cup
The 2021 Durand Cup is the 130th edition of Durand Cup, the oldest football tournament in Asia. Like its previous edition, the tournament was hosted in West Bengal, instead of its traditional venue, Delhi. The tournament is jointly hosted by the Eastern Command of the Indian Armed Forces and the Government of West Bengal. The Durand Cup was cancelled in 2020 due to worldwide COVID-19 pandemic and was reorganised in 2021 after a year gap.
