Jesse Ferguson
Jesse Ferguson (born March 20, 1957) is a retired American boxer who fought in several noteworthy boxing matches in the 1980s and 1990s. His professional career is filled with matches with champions and contenders and his name is linked with numerous boxing stars of the 1980s and 1990s. Early years Ferguson grew up in rural Knightdale, North Carolina, one of 13 children of a tobacco farm workers William and Jesse Ferguson. Military service Ferguson took up boxing at the age of 22, while serving with the U.S. Marines. Professional career After an amateur career in the early 80s, Ferguson turned pro in 1983 at the age of 25. Oliver McCall
Oliver McCall (born April 21, 1965) is an American former professional boxer. A veteran of the sport for over three decades, he is best known for winning the WBC heavyweight title in 1994 by scoring an upset knockout victory over Lennox Lewis. The next year he defended the title against Larry Holmes before losing it to Frank Bruno. McCall is known for an in-ring mental breakdown during his 1997 rematch with Lewis. McCall's son, Elijah, is also a heavyweight professional boxer. McCall is known for having never been knocked down in any of his 74 bout professional career. Alex Stewart (boxer)
Alex Stewart (28 June 1964 – 16 November 2016) was a professional boxer. He represented Jamaica at the 1984 Olympics, and won a bronze medal in the heavyweight division at the 1983 Pan American Games. During his professional career, he fought world champions Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, George Foreman, Oleg Maskaev, and Michael Moorer. Known for being a strong finisher, 40 of his 43 career wins came inside the distance. Amateur career Stewart was a member of the Jamaican 1984 Olympic team. Jeremy Williams (boxer)
Jeremy Williams (born August 19, 1972) is an American former professional boxer and mixed martial artist. He challenged once for the WBO heavyweight title in 1996. Amateur career As an amateur, he was the 1989 and 1990 United States amateur Light Heavyweight 1989 heavyweight Jr. Olympic champion and the 1990 and 1991 National Golden Gloves Light Heavyweight champion, and is a member of the Golden Gloves hall of fame. He was a bronze medalist in the 1990 Goodwill Games in the 81 kg division, being knocked out cold with a right cross thrown by the Soviet Andrey Kurnyavka in the quarterfinals after a three-round slugfest (Kurnyavka later told that this was the toughest of his 350 fights.) Franklin Roy Bruno, (born 16 November 1961) is a British former professional boxer who competed from 1982 to 1996. He had a highly publicised and eventful career, both in and out of the ring. Riddick Lamont Bowe (born August 10, 1967) is an American former professional boxer who competed between 1989 and 2008. He reigned as the undisputed world heavyweight champion in 1992, and as an amateur he won a silver medal in the super heavyweight division at the 1988 Summer Olympics.
