Jesse English
Jesse Logan English (born September 13, 1984) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He played for the Washington Nationals of Major League Baseball (MLB) in 2010, and for the EDA Rhinos of the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL) in 2013. Career English played for the AZL Giants in 2002 and 2003. In 2002, he went 4-1 with a 2.68 ERA in 12 games started, striking out 68 batters in 47 innings. In 2003, he went 0-1 with a 3.98 ERA in seven games (six starts), striking out 31 batters in 20 innings. He played for the Hagerstown Suns in 2004, going 0-1 with a 7.48 ERA in 17 games (four starts). He missed all of 2005 due to injury, and in 2006 he went 3-0 with a 6.35 ERA in 17 relief appearances with the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes. He struck out 40 batters in 28 innings that season. In baseball, the pitcher is the player who throws ("pitches") the baseball from the pitcher's mound toward the catcher to begin each play, with the goal of retiring a batter, who attempts to either make contact with the pitched ball or draw a walk. John Lannan
John Edward Lannan (born September 27, 1984) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He made his Major League Baseball (MLB) debut with the Washington Nationals in 2007 against the Philadelphia Phillies; he was ejected from his first MLB game. He pitched with the Nationals for six seasons through 2012 and was the opening day starter in 2009 and 2010. He was relegated out of the rotation in 2012, and was eventually non-tendered making him a free agent. In December 2012, he signed with the division rival Phillies, with whom he was the fifth starter during the 2013 season. He played with the New York Mets in 2014. The Mexican League (, ) is a professional baseball league based in Mexico and the oldest running professional league in the country. The league has 18 teams organized in two divisions, North and South. Teams play 114 games each season. Five teams in each division advance to a four-round postseason tournament that culminates in the Serie del Rey, a best-of-seven championship series between the two division champions. The Mexican League has two affiliated minor leagues, the Liga Norte de México and Mexican Academy League. The Reynosa Broncos (''los Broncos de Reynosa'') were a Mexican team that played in the Adolfo Lopez Mateos stadium in the city of Reynosa, Tamaulipas. The Broncos de Reynosa played in the Liga Mexicana de Beisbol and it was part of the Zona Norte division. The Atlantic League of Professional Baseball (ALPB) is a professional independent baseball league based in the United States. It is an official MLB Partner League based in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern United States. The Bridgeport Bluefish were an American minor league baseball team based in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The team was a member of the Liberty Division of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, which was not affiliated with Major League Baseball.
