Jerzy Słaboszowski
Jerzy Słaboszowski (4 April 1932 – either 2 or 4 April 1981) also sometimes written as Jerzy Słaboszewski was a football player and manager. During his playing career Słaboszowski played for Mieszko Piast Cieszyn, Cracovia, Legia Warsaw, Lublinianka, and Warszawianka. His greatest spell coming with Legia, winning the Polish Cup in 1955 and the league in the same year. II liga (Druga Liga, ), currently named eWinner II liga due to sponsorship reasons by eWinner, is a Polish football league that sits at the third tier of the Polish football league system. Until the end of the 2007–08 season ''II Liga'' referred to a league at the 2nd tier, although this changed with the formation of the Ekstraklasa as the top level league in Poland. Currently, II liga is below I liga and above III liga. Since the 2014/15 season there is one group making up the II Liga unlike in previous seasons when there were two groups (''West'' and ''East''). Poland Ekstraklasa (), meaning "Extra Class" in Polish, named PKO Ekstraklasa since the 2019–20 season due to its sponsorship by PKO Bank Polski, is the top Polish professional league for men's association football teams. Contested by 18 clubs, operating a system of promotion and relegation with the I liga, seasons start in July, and end in May or June the following year. Teams play a total of 34 games each. The Polish Cup in football ( pl, Puchar Polski w piłce nożnej ) is an elimination tournament for Polish football clubs, held continuously from 1950, and is the second most important national title in Polish football after the Ekstraklasa title. Due to mass participation of teams, the tournament is often called ''The Cup of the Thousand Teams'' ( pl, Puchar Tysiąca Drużyn ). Participation is open to any club registered with the Polish FA, regardless of whether it competes in any league in the national pyramid. Reserve and veteran teams are also eligible, with reserve teams reaching the final on two occasions (and winning it once). The Cup is popular among lower-level teams, as it gives them a chance to play better known sides.
