Jerzy Jastrzębowski
Jerzy "Jastrząb" Jastrzębowski (born 14 January 1951) is a Polish football manager. Jastrzębowski has spent the majority of his career managing teams in the Pomeranian area. Managerial career Jastrzębowski started his managerial career at the age of 30 managing the Lechia Gdańsk youth teams before taking the position as the manager of the first team. Despite Lechia being his first job, it has arguably been his most successful job. Despite Lechia being in the third tier, the team won the Puchar Polski and the subsequent SuperPuchar Polski in 1983, as well as winning their division. This led to Lechia playing in a European competition for the first time, while only being in the second tier. Lechia were drawn against Juventus and eventually lost 10-2 on aggregate. At the end of the season he again won the league with Lechia, and they were promoted to the Ekstraklasa. I liga ( pl, Pierwsza liga, ), currently named Fortuna I liga due to its sponsorship by Fortuna, is the men's second professional association football division of the Polish football league system, below the Ekstraklasa and above the II liga via promotion/relegation systems. II liga (Druga Liga, ), currently named eWinner II liga due to sponsorship reasons by eWinner, is a Polish football league that sits at the third tier of the Polish football league system. Until the end of the 2007–08 season ''II Liga'' referred to a league at the 2nd tier, although this changed with the formation of the Ekstraklasa as the top level league in Poland. Currently, II liga is below I liga and above III liga. Since the 2014/15 season there is one group making up the II Liga unlike in previous seasons when there were two groups (''West'' and ''East''). The Polish Super Cup (, ) is an annually held match between the champions of the Ekstraklasa and the Polish Cup winners or, if the Ekstraklasa champions also win the Polish Cup, the Cup's runners-up. As of 2021, the Polish Super Cup has been played 31 times. The most successful club is Lech Poznań, who won 6 times. The most common participant are Legia Warsaw, as they played fourteen final games and have lost their eight following finals since 2012. Unlike in Polish Cup, there is no extra time played in the competition, therefore in case of a draw after regular time match goes straight into a penalty shoot-out.
