Jervis Luas Stop
Jervis is a stop on the Luas light-rail tram system in Dublin, Ireland. It opened in 2004 as a stop on the Red Line. The Red Line runs east to west along Abbey Street through the city centre, and the Jervis stop is located to the east of Jervis Street, in front of the Jervis Shopping Centre. It also provides access to the Temple Bar and St. Mary's Abbey. It has two edge platforms integrated into the pavement. The platforms are staggered - a rarity for Luas stops - to prevent congestion. The stop connects with a number of Dublin Bus routes. Red Line (Luas)
The Red Line () is one of the two lines of Dublin's Luas light rail system. The Red Line runs in an east–west direction through the city centre, north of the River Liffey, before travelling southwest to Tallaght, with a fork to Citywest and Saggart. The Red Line opened on 26 September 2004. History Construction work began in March 2001 on the Tallaght to Connolly line, as well as the Sandyford to St. Stephen's Green section of the second line, with Gio. Luas
Luas (pronounced ; Irish for "speed") is a tram/ light rail system in Dublin, Ireland. There are two main lines: the Green Line, which began operating on 30 June 2004, and the Red Line which opened on 26 September 2004. Since then, both lines have been extended and split into different branches further out of the city. The two lines, as of 2017, now intersect and connect within Dublin city centre. The system now has 67 stations and of revenue track, which in 2018 carried 41.8 million passengers, an increase of 11.2% compared to 2017. Tallaght (; ga, Tamhlacht) is a stop on the Luas light-rail tram system in Dublin, Ireland. It opened in 2004 as the terminus of the Red Line. The stop is located on a section of reserved track at the side of the road the populous suburb of Tallaght, opposite The Square Shopping Centre. It also provides access to Tallaght Stadium, the offices of South Dublin County Council, and the local campus of the Technological University Dublin. The stop has two edge platforms, and trams reverse using a double crossover immediately beyond the stop. Thus, one platform is used for arrivals and one for departures. Saggart Luas Stop
Saggart ( ga, Teach Sagard) is a stop on the Luas light-rail tram system in Dublin, Ireland. It opened in 2011 as the terminus of an extension of the Red Line. The stop is located on a section of reserved track next to Citywest Drive near Saggart village in south-west Dublin. It is also close to Whitechurch and Baldonnel. To the north of the stop, a large area has been set aside for a development called Parklands, which is planned to include over 150 houses, two new schools, retail and a large sports area. As of 2020, development has begun onsite. Abbey Street ( ga, Sráid na Mainistreach) is a stop on the Luas light-rail tram system in Dublin, Ireland. It opened in 2004 as a stop on the Red Line. The Red Line runs east to west along Abbey Street through the city centre, and the Abbey Street stop is located between O'Connell Street and Marlborough Street, on two lanes reserved for trams. Connolly station ( ga, Stáisiún Uí Chonghaile) or Dublin Connolly is one of the busiest railway stations in Dublin and Ireland, and is a focal point in the Irish route network. The Point Luas Stop
The Point ( ga, Iosta na Rinne) is a stop on the Luas light-rail tram system in Dublin, Ireland. It opened in 2009 as the terminus of an extension of the Red Line. Named after the nearby Point Depot, it serves the surrounding Point Village area and is situated in the middle of a plaza at the end of Mayor Street Upper, near Point Square, Host Point Student accommodation, and the 3Arena. The stop has three platforms. This allows up to three trams to dwell there during events at the 3Arena, in order to prepare for the influx of passengers leaving the venue at the end of the event.
