Jerry Lynn Williams
Jerry Lynn Williams (1948–2005) was an American rock music singer and composer. He wrote such hits as " Forever Man", " See What Love Can Do", " Something's Happening", "Running on Faith" and " Pretending" for Eric Clapton. He contributed two songs, "Real Man" and " I Will Not Be Denied", to Bonnie Raitt's 1989 album '' Nick of Time''. He had previously written material for Raitt's 1986 album '' Nine Lives''. He also wrote songs for Robert Plant, B.B. King, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jimmie Vaughan. As a performer, he released albums on Warner Bros. Records and CBS Records during the 1970s, and his break as a songwriter came when Delbert McClinton's cover of a song from his second album, "Givin' It Up for Your Love", reached the Top 40. In his autobiography, Clapton recalled meeting Williams for the first time after his record label, Warner Bros. Erik Sven Fernström (15 April 1942 – 25 March 2018), known by his stage name Jerry Williams, was a Swedish singer and actor. He began his career as the lead singer of The Violents, before launching a solo career. Early life Williams grew up in a working-class family in Solna. The family had a one-room apartment. Williams' mother, a nurse, died when he was only twelve years old. His father took care of him and his brother alone. He was very interested in sports, and as a youngster he played football, ice hockey and was engaged in cycle sport. He was also a member of Narva BK, a boxing club. Jerry Williams (September 24, 1923 – April 29, 2003) was an American radio host, one of the originators of the talk radio format. His radio career spanned more than 50 years, starting in 1946 at WCYB in Bristol, Virginia (near the Tennessee border), followed by a stint at WIBG in Philadelphia. But it was at WMEX in Boston (1957-1965) where his popularity took off. He later went to WBBM in Chicago. In 1968, he returned to Boston on WBZ for eight years. In 1976 he was on WMCA in New York, then back to Philadelphia on WWDB, where he became the first FM radio talk host. He came back to Boston once again in 1981, on WRKO, where he remained until 1998. Harvest was a Christian band founded in Lindale, Texas, by Jerry Williams in 1977. The vision of Harvest was to see 100 million people come to know Jesus Christ personally through the band's music ministry. History Jerry Williams came from a nightclub entertainment background, and music had been a major part of his life. In an interview, Williams stated that " erealized there had to be more to life than sports cars and dating beauty queens . . . I became a Christian." Jerome Ralph Williams (November 1, 1923 – December 31, 1998) was an American football player and coach who served as the head coach of two Canadian Football League (CFL) teams, as well as the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL). Early life Williams was a native of Spokane, Washington. He attended North Central High School where he was an all-city running back and All-Inland Empire Athlete of the Year (1942) as a three-sport athlete. Graduating in 1942, Williams enrolled at the University of Idaho, but with the war efforts building he made the decision to join his older brother, William H. Williams (eventual Chief Justice of the Washington State Supreme Court) in the United States Army Air Corps. Williams became a fighter pilot flying P-38s in the Pacific theater. Jerry Williams (born January 2, 1979) is an American former professional basketball player and current head basketball coach for the Newfoundland Rogues (Canada) and former Head coach for the ABA Jacksonville Giants in Jacksonville, Florida (USA). He had a distinguished college and European career, and played in the American Basketball Association (ABA) for 2 seasons , from 2007-2008. He played for the ABA Jacksonville Jam. Jerry Michael "Mike" Williams (October 16, 1969 – December 16, 2000) was an American murder victim. Williams was initially presumed to have drowned on a 2000 hunting trip to Lake Seminole, a large reservoir straddling the Georgia-Florida state line; his mother always suspected he had been the victim of foul play, possibly at another location. His body was found in October 2017 near Tallahassee, and Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) officials confirmed he was a victim of homicide. After Williams' boat was found abandoned on the lake, the initial theory was that he had fallen out of it after a collision while duck hunting. However, a lengthy and exhaustive search of the lake bed in the area failed to find his body: at that time, it was the only known occasion when no remains or body had been discovered after a drowning death in the lake.
