Jonathan Shell
Jonathan Shell (born December 1, 1987) is an American politician and the agriculture commissioner of Kentucky. A Republican, he is a former member of the Kentucky House of Representatives. He represented District 71 which comprises Garrard, Rockcastle, and a portion of Madison Counties. He served as the Majority Leader of the Kentucky House of Representatives and was the youngest member of the General Assembly. He was defeated by Travis Brenda, a teacher at Rockcastle County High School, in the 2018 Republican primary. John F. Hodgson is an American politician who has served as a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives since January 2023. He represents Kentucky's 36th House district, which consists of part of Jefferson County. Biography Hodgson was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, where both his parents were stationed in World War II.He earned a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering from Texas Tech University in 1984 and an Master of Science in aeronautical science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 2007. Later, Hodgson attended Liberty University and studied public policy for one year. He moved to Jefferson County, Kentucky, in 1985 and worked for United Parcel Service (UPS). Louisville Metro Council
The Louisville Metro Council is the city council of Louisville, Kentucky (Louisville Metro). It was formally established in January 2003 upon the merger of the former City of Louisville with Jefferson County and replaced the city's Board of Aldermen and the county's Fiscal Court (three county commissioners). Louisville City Hall houses the offices and chambers of the council. The ''Metro Council'' consists of twenty-six seats corresponding to districts apportioned by population throughout Jefferson County. Although all cities in Jefferson County, apart from Louisville, retained their status after the merger, their residents are represented on Metro Council and vote alongside other county residents.
