Jerry Foulkes
Jerry Foulkes is a former presenter of Children's ITV in the United Kingdom. He is also an ex-radio disc jockey and has successfully worked in the UK television industry for many years. Children's ITV On 3 April 1989, the contract to produce Children's ITV was taken over by an independent production company, called Stonewall Productions. Foulkes was hired to present the Children's ITV weekday afternoons service, which he did from Monday 3 April to Friday 22 December 1989. Children's ITV's afternoon service ran from 4:00 to 5:10 pm (Monday–Friday), except on bank holidays. He co-presented Children's ITV with a puppet character called Scally The Dog, and they had a catchphrase which was "We're still here!", which they both often said during their links, referring to them still being on-air at the time. CITV (short for Children's ITV, also known as the CITV Channel) is a British free-to-air children's television channel owned by ITV plc. It broadcasts content from the CITV archive and acquisitions, every day from 6 am to 9 pm which was previously 6 am to 6 pm until 21 February 2016. It is also the title of a programming block on the ITV network at weekends. Lisa Stansfield
Lisa Jane Stansfield (born 11 April 1966) is an English singer, songwriter, and actress. Her career began in 1980 when she won the singing competition ''Search for a Star''. After appearances in various television shows and releasing her first singles, Stansfield, along with Ian Devaney and Andy Morris, formed Blue Zone in 1986. A video jockey (abbreviated VJ or sometimes veejay) is an announcer or host who introduces music videos and live performances on commercial music television channels such as MTV, VH1, Much (TV channel), MuchMusic and Channel V. BBC Radio Norfolk is the BBC's local radio station serving the county of Norfolk. It broadcasts on FM, AM, DAB, digital TV and via BBC Sounds from studios at The Forum in Norwich. Gus Honeybun
Gus Honeybun was the station mascot for Westward Television, and later Television South West, from 1961 to December 1992. A puppet rabbit, and star of ''Gus Honeybun's Magic Birthdays'', he achieved a longevity for a TV puppet second only to the Sooty characters. The clips were filmed at Westward/TSW's Plymouth studios in the Derry's Cross part of the city. There were four different Gus Honeybun puppets and TSW employed a person to create Gus Honeybun's wardrobe. Gus had a theme tune composed by TV composer Ed Welch. A short video was made to accompany it, featuring Gus and several TSW presenters walking around in Plymouth. A 7" picture disc single of the theme song was released in 1987 to several local record shops. Other Gus merchandise available included cuddly toy puppets, keyrings and car stickers. Television South West (TSW) was the ITV franchise holder for the South West England region from 1 January 1982 until 31 December 1992, broadcasting from studios at Derry's Cross in Plymouth, Devon. History Origins and Launch On 28 December 1980 TSW was awarded the contract to serve the South West England region from the night of 31 December 1981 at 12 midnight for a 10-year period, succeeding incumbent Westward Television, which had served the area since 1961. Jeanne Downs (born 6 January 1967) is a former presenter of Children's ITV, which is the brand name used for the majority of children's television output on ITV in the United Kingdom. She is also a singer/songwriter, TV producer, voice over artist and high end property developer. As well as doing the regular afternoons service, in the summer of '89, they also had to provide a mornings service too, which was a rival to ''But... First This!'' on Children's BBC.
