Jerome Davis (bull Rider)
Jerome Carson Davis (born August 10, 1972) is an American former professional rodeo cowboy who specialized in bull riding. He competed in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA), in which he won the 1995 PRCA bull riding world championship. He also competed in the Bull Riders Only (BRO) and Professional Bull Riders (PBR) circuits; the latter of which he was one of the founding members. Early life Jerome Davis, nicknamed "Jethro", was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado. His father was stationed there while serving in the U.S. military. Six months after his birth, Davis moved back with his family to the Davis Family Ranch in Archdale, North Carolina, where he grew up and has lived his entire life. The ''News & Record'' is an American, English language newspaper with the largest circulation serving Guilford County, North Carolina, and the surrounding region. Bud Light Cup Series
The Bud Light Cup Series (BLC) was the first tour and in its first year was the only tour of the Professional Bull Riders (PBR). When other tours were created, it became the major league tour of the PBR. Background This series ran from 1994 to 2002. It was the inaugural and only tour at its time of inception, as the PBR started their inaugural season in 1994. This series became the elite series of the PBR. The entire series was telecast on TNN. Each event used three judges – except for the PBR Bud Light Cup World Championships, which had four – with two typically scoring up to 50 points each, and a reserve judge to provide a tiebreaking score if needed. Tuff Hedeman
Richard Neale "Tuff" Hedeman (born March 2, 1963) is an American former professional rodeo cowboy who specializes in bull riding. He won the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) bull riding world championship three times (1986, 1989 and 1991), as well as the 1995 Professional Bull Riders (PBR) world championship. He also won the 1993 world championship for the now-defunct Bull Riders Only (BRO) organization. He is also one of the co-founders of the PBR. Hedeman is a ProRodeo Hall of Fame, PBR Ring of Honor, Bull Riding Hall of Fame, and Rodeo Hall of Fame inductee. He is known for having been one of rodeo icons Lane Frost's closest friends. Southern Extreme Bull Riding Association
The Southern Extreme Bull Riding Association (SEBRA) is an American regional semi-professional rodeo association. History SEBRA was founded in Archdale, North Carolina in 1994 by Jerome Davis, a co-founder of the Professional Bull Riders (PBR). Its headquarters are still in Archdale. His intent with SEBRA was to establish a bull riding association to help young athletes get started in the sport. With the strong growth of the PBR, Davis soon stepped down from SEBRA. He was succeeded as president by Chan Canter. Within five years, SEBRA had grown from sanctioning 150 events per year to more than 400 events across the United States. SEBRA runs and promotes schools and clinics to help bull riders advance to professional event. National Finals Rodeo
The National Finals Rodeo (NFR) is the premier rodeo event by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA). The NFR showcases the talents of the PRCA's top 15 money-winners in the season for each event. The NFR is held each year in the first full week of December, at the Thomas & Mack Center on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in Paradise, Nevada, United States. (UNLV) and is aired live on The Cowboy Channel. ''Cowboy Christmas'', a cowboy gift show, is held concurrent with the rodeo at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Lane Clyde Frost (October 12, 1963 – July 30, 1989) was an American professional rodeo cowboy who specialized in bull riding, and competed in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA). He was the 1987 PRCA World Champion bull rider and a 1990 ProRodeo Hall of Fame inductee. He was the only rider to score qualified rides on the 1987 PRCA Bucking Bull of the Year and 1990 ProRodeo Hall of Fame bull Red Rock.
