Jeroen Kijk In De Vegte
Jeroen Kijk in de Vegte (born 14 June 1974) is a Dutch television presenter, radio DJ and voice actor. He was one of the sidekicks in the radio show ''ruuddewild.nl'' presented by Ruud de Wild. Career He was the voice over for ''Eigen Huis & Tuin'' from 1996 to 2020. In 2003, he presented the television show ''Veronica Vibes'' which was not very successful. In 2017, he participated in the 17th season of the popular television show ''Wie is de Mol?''. In 2020, he appeared in a special anniversary edition of the show, called ''Wie is de Mol? Renaissance'', which featured only contestants of previous seasons. He was the titular Mol of that season. ''Wie is de Mol? Renaissance'' is a special anniversary season of the Dutch TV series ''Wie is de Mol?'' ("Who is the Mole?"). This All Star edition was announced at the end of the Season 20 finale and in celebration of the series reaching its twentieth season. The season took place in the region of Tuscany in Italy. This is the seventh season to have been filmed in Europe, following, Scotland in Season 2, Portugal in Season 3, Northern Ireland in Season 9, Iceland and Spain in Season 12, and Georgia in Season 18, respectively. Assassination Of Pim Fortuyn
Pim Fortuyn, a Dutch politician, was assassinated by Volkert van der Graaf in Hilversum, North Holland on 6 May 2002, nine days before the general election of 2002, in which he was leading the Pim Fortuyn List (LPF). On a few occasions, Fortuyn had expressed his fear of being murdered: after being pied at the official release of his book ''De puinhopen van acht jaar Paars'', as well as, most notably, on the talk show ''Jensen!'' on 22 March 2002. In court at his trial, Van der Graaf, an environmental and animal rights activist, said he murdered Fortuyn to stop him from exploiting Muslims as "scapegoats" and targeting "the weak members of society" in seeking political power. Van der Graaf was sentenced to eighteen years in prison. The sentence was upheld after he appealed. He was released on parole in 2014 after completing two-thirds of his sentence and has since lived in Apeldoorn, Gelderland.
