Jermaine Omar Taylor (born 14 January 1985) is a Jamaican professional footballer. Club career Jamaica Born in Portland, Jamaica, Taylor started his senior career as a first team regular by the age of 19. While at Harbour View, Taylor won the CFU Club Championship and the National Premier League. In 2009, Taylor moved to Portland to play along with his brother Ricardo Taylor for St. George's SC. United States Houston Dynamo In February 2011 it was reported that Taylor would be joining Houston Dynamo in Major League Soccer with the American club paying a transfer fee to St. George's SC. Houston Dynamo FC (formerly officially, but still commonly, called the Houston Dynamo) is an American professional soccer club based in Houston. The Dynamo compete in Major League Soccer (MLS) as a member of the Western Conference. Established on December 15, 2005, the club was founded after their former owners relocated the San Jose Earthquakes' players and staff to Houston following the 2005 season. For their first six seasons in Houston, the Dynamo were based at Robertson Stadium on the campus of the University of Houston. The Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) is the governing body of football in Jamaica and is in charge of the Jamaica national football team and the Jamaica National Premier League. The record is held jointly by Bader Al-Mutawa of Kuwait and Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal, who both made their 196th appearance in 2022. The 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup was the 14th edition of the CONCACAF Gold Cup, the biennial international men's soccer championship of the North, Central American and Caribbean region organized by CONCACAF, and 24th CONCACAF regional championship overall. CFU Club Championship
The Caribbean Club Championship, also known as the CFU Club Championship or CFU Club Champions' Cup, was an annual international football competition held amongst association football clubs that are members of the Caribbean Football Union (CFU). The Caribbean Club Championship served as a qualifying event for the CONCACAF Champions League tournament. The tournament was officially the Flow CONCACAF Caribbean Club Championship for sponsorship reasons from 2018 to 2022. With the expansion of the CONCACAF Champions League starting from the 2024 edition, the 2022 edition of the Caribbean Club Championship was the last held. The National Premier League, also known for sponsorship purposes as the Red Stripe Premier League, is sanctioned by the Jamaican Football Federation as the top division for men's association football in Jamaica. 2014 Caribbean Cup
The 2014 Caribbean Cup was the 18th edition of the Caribbean Cup, an international football competition for national teams of member nations affiliated with the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) of the CONCACAF region. The final competition stage (8 teams) was scheduled for 11–18 November. On 18 March 2014, it was announced that Jamaica would host the final stage. For the first time, the competition and its qualifying stages were scheduled to take place during officially sanctioned FIFA international match periods. 2010 Caribbean Championship
The 2010 Caribbean Cup (also known as Digicel Caribbean Cup 2010 for sponsorship reasons) was the 2010 edition of the Caribbean Championship, an international football championship for national teams affiliated with the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) of the CONCACAF region. The final stage was hosted by Martinique. Martinique were selected as hosts over fellow bidders Guadeloupe and Barbados. The competition was originally scheduled to begin on 18 August with the final match taking place on 28 November. However, at the beginning of August 2010, the CFU released a different schedule that showed the competition being postponed until 2 October. Also, the Bahamas pulled out of the competition, leaving 23 teams.
